By screen size I'm going to guess what your asking is how to change the resolution of the screen so that the graphics of the icons and what not are larger or smaller, since you have a laptop you are not actually able to change the size of the display itself, and with a macbook that's a older model you might be able to do a dual display setup, but if you're simply mirroring the built-in display then you are really going to bog down you're processor and VGA's performance. To change the resolution just go to "system preferences->displays". Now look for the option that says "resolution", there should be choice two options, one that says "best for display" and one that say "scaled". You're going to want to make sure that the option "scaled" has been selected, if it wasn't previously then when you select it a small menu box will now appear with different resolution matrices. I would try just selecting the matrix below the one that is currently selected to start with, if you don't like it you can always change it back to the original or keep going until you find the one that best suits your preference.

if you have any additional questions or require additional help, please feel free to ask, but place them in this message string so I am notified and they are easy to find. If you found this advice useful please up vote my comment, and let us know your results!

Thanks and good luck!

In the manual for this product the company states(www.insigniaproducts.com):

  1. If no icon appears when a card is inserted into the reader (MAC OS X), check the following:
  2. • The card may have been formatted in Windows FAT 32 format. Using a PC or digital device, reformat the card using OS X-compatible FAT or FAT16 format.
Maybe this is the reason? Good luck!

Trying to change tv format on my dynex 32 LCD

You are looking for a picture size, format or screen size button on the remote control to solve the issue. If it connected to a HD cable or satellite box then they also have format or picture size settings.

I cant adjust my picture size to normal on my Sony Wega 51" TV

the screen size feature is gray out because there is a previous option selected already and computer assumes you want always that size.So going into the menu and try to look for a previous selection related with: "screen size default". The menu allows you to selec this option and (i like to "standard" and i adjust screen size with my cable box feature who allows change size also if is needed, but now days cable box change it itself because is automatic) is install in the original program by manufacture because helps you to keep one size and you don't have to change it any moment. This default option is outside the regular screen size option, if i remember right is in set up screen. try to find this options in your user's manual to follow the right screen procedure..

Image bigger than screen

Try changing the keystone. Also you may have the projector too far away from the screen. Changing the resolution on your laptop will not solve that particular problem.
