Is it the whole tap or just the knob/lever?

Whole tap, there is a nut underneath that needs tightening. Don't over tighten it.

Just the knob or lever that you turn to turn on and off? You will find a small screw at the rear. It is a set screw, so it doesn't have a head, it just sits in a hole. Usually a hex key to tighten it. The hole is often filled with gunk so clean it first with an old toothbrush. The set screw is often sticky so undo it I turn before you tighten, lift the knob off, screw the screw in until you see it coming out of the inside to clean the threads. Unscrew the screw back out, replace the knob and tighten it.

Weiser door knob GA9771A-S. Loose interior door knob. How do I tighten?

Remove the knob by pushing in the small pin on the edge of the knob shaft. Then use a screwdriver in the small inset on the edge of the handle cover to pop the cover off. Tighten the 2 screws under the cover, replace parts.

Need to tighten volume knob on my connex 4300hp

I'm assuming you mean just the knob, and not the shaft behind it, if it's a D shaped shaft, a slip of paper in the knob will tighten it up, if it's knurled and round shaft, spread the split in the middle open slightly until the knob is tight

Needle does not move when I try to sew.

On these old singers, there is a locking washer that controls the tighten and release mechanism. If it is not in the proper place your efforts to tighten and loosen to engage the sewing functions do nothing.

Choke knob doesn't stay open on 2001 H-D Superglide fxd

there should be a 17mm brass nut behind the knob. loosen it and tighten the black plastic nut outside by hand until the knob will stay out on it's own. do not lubricate the shaft and do not over tighten by hand. then re tighten the 17mm brass nut that holds the cable to the motorcycle.

I have 3 door knobs on outside doors that are loose and need to be tightened. the knobs have come completely off sometimes when we go out the doors. how do I tighten the knobs so they are not loose?

On the inside side of the door knob, there is a decorative plate. Depending on which model door knobs you have, it is held on with a "set-screw" that might require an allen-wrench (looks like an 8-sided tool; usually in an L-shape), or just simply a screw driver, to loosen and remove it. Once you take the decorative plate off, there will be two very obvious screws that hold both sides (inside and outside) of the door knob together. Tighten these screws to tighten your knobs, then put the decorative plates back on again.

2006 road king; enrichener knob will not stay out when pulled out for a cold start.

you can set the tension on the cable knob. take an 11/16 wrench and loosen the nut on the back side of the knob bracket. there is a plastic knurled nut on the front side of the bracket, tighten the plastic nut a little then the metal nut to tighten it to the bracket. be careful tightening the metal nut, it is easy to over tighten and break the cable housing at the threads.

How To Fix a Knob Hole

Tightening the knob screws works for me.

The screws are located in the inner part of the cupboard, just hold the knob with one hand and with a screw driver tighten the screws without applting to much force.
