SOURCE: what is the mix ratio for the troybilt 25cc blower?

Troy-Bilt products now are usually produced by Mtd, the ratio being 40:1.
However since John Deere made yours I'm 99.9% sure it should by 32:1.
In any case any power equipment you own (including Dolmar or Stihl) that takes an oill/gas mix benefits in the long run from using the richer 32:1 ratio. It protects the piston and cylinder much better, giving your equipment longer life. Do not use the "one mix for all" that you find at retail stores as it has been my experience it really isn't "one mix for all". Seen a lot of scratched pistons and broken rings from people using that.

SOURCE: I have a John Deere hand held blower. I can't get

Your adjustments to the carburetor may make it worse.
Plus if the fuel mixture is over 30 old, I would replace it.
Manufacturers have told us this year any gas over 30 days old is considered bad gas and needs to be replaced. I would try some fresh gas(from the station) and some new 2 cycle oil at 40:1 Ratio(3.2 ozs 2 cycle oil to 1 gal of gas).
Good day.

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:

Youwill need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner.Make sure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to seedaylight through it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Let's guess your 'old style 3020 disease' is a John Deere 3020 tractor. :>D

Inherited a old John deere hand held leaf blower need to know if the fuel line with I'm guessing is a vent of some kind that's opposite of the line with the actual fuel filter on it.does this2ndlinego

See;
https://weingartz.com/illustrated-diagram/john-deere-parts-lookup/model-bh25-bh25le-bh30-power-blower-pc2699/4275-171089

The above link is a component pictorial so its not exact, but shows two lines not three so the cap is the vent. (mantis tillers have a no vent fuel cap and 3rd line for the tank vent)

Side note: Id like to see picture of a $200+ 2 cycle carburetor.

It starts easily but turns off after about 10 to 30 seconds

I suspect a fuel supply problem. filter could be plugged. I just went through this yesterday with a john deere. After looking inside the gas tank I found the filter still hooked up to a hose that had broken off inside the tank. New hose's and some fiddling around fixed mine.

Bh25 le carb schematic

The waxy substance it gelled fuel. You have to totally clean and blow out all passageways. Resist using any hard tools or drill bits, you want to change NOTHING in terms of size..You just want it totally all cleaned.
Replace all soft parts. Verify the passageways are open. I prefer to soak in carb cleaner, it is strong and nasty, but resolves what you describe. Spray stuff seems to work well, but I worry about areas like venturi discharge systems...Soaking does it.

We have the john deere bp65le blower and it runs for 5 to 10 minutes and just cuts out and dies you can pull it and start it back up and 5 to10 minutes later it does the same thing weve changed fuel...

Hi There,
If you changed the fuel filter I guess you already replaced the old fuel and cleaned the fuel tank too. In the tank could be some moisture which can cause to stop operating the blower. If no good results you should do the following:
Check fuel lines for cracks or loose connections.
After this you might need to remove the carburetor and clean inside the passages and the filter. Check rubber membranes for flexibility and the needle setting. Set idle rpm for smooth operation and check the full throttle function. If needed adjust the setting screww on the carburator.
Good luck!

JOHN DEERE LAWN TRACTOR 145 SERIES, RUNS OK

When you start to have this problem loosen the fuel cap and see if that makes any differance, there is a small vent hole in the cap that can get plugged. When it gets plugged your fuel tank will develop a vaccum and cause you engine to starve for fuel.Im not sure on this model but the older 100 series had a problem with the fuel line being pinched between the frame and the tank.
