Try giving it a little more rest. then start again. If nothing helps, nock on the thermostat.
If the aggregate does not start, check the thermostat. If the aggregate starts, but can't cool enough, check if there is still cooling fluid in the system. (check if you can see any leakage)

Tip

Freezer freezes but refrigerator will not cool.

If you are having trouble with the freezer working fine but the refrigerator not cooling then the defrost has not cleared all the ice in the coils. Try a manual defrost by unplugging your refrigerator and let it sit for a couple of hours to clear the ice. Plug it back in and see if it re-ice's in a short amount of time. Over a week or two. If so then you may need to have your defrost timer replaced. This process can save you hundreds in service charges. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Refrigerator not cool, freezer ok

Either the freezer continues to freeze up (most likely due to low refrigerant, due to a leak), or there is an obstruction between the freezer and the refrigerator (refrigerators get their cooling from the freezer).

Given that it works after you defrost it, I'm going with low gas. Call a professional to see if the leak can be fixed. If the unit is more than 10 years old, just get a new one.

Not Cooling Fridge Or Freezer keeps Freezing up (New Defroster)

There are 3 parts to the defrost system,Which did he replace? You should ask and don't name the parts for him,Let him tell you what he replaced. Here are the 3 parts to listen for.

Improper installation,a faulty part,or a short could cause it to fail in that short time.
  1. Defrost timer
  2. Defrost element
  3. Defrost thermostat.

Any other question, feel free to ask
