Question about Mitsubishi VS-50707 50" Rear Projection Television
I have a Mitsubishi VS-50707 rear projection TV. The TV will not power-on or make any clicking or blink any LEDs upon pressing the power button. I've checked the primary power rectifier and there is voltage at the top of T951, but from what I can see,it doesn'tlook like IC951 is switching the bottom of the primary coil ofT951. There is no voltage at TP12VS or TP4V on the secondary side of the transformer. Both appear that they should show voltage with the TV plugged in and turned. I'm suspecting perhaps IC951. Any other ideas?
I actually found the problem about a week ago, but thanks for the reply. The problem was a very small amount of coolant had leaked from the center CRT structure and fell in the corner of the heatsink for IC451, so it wasn't terribly obvious what had occurred (even though there were several postings about the coolant leakage problem). The coolant found it's way under L972 in the 12V standby circuit and corroded the fine wire inside the choke. I replaced the choke and the set is now fully functional. In reassembling the unit, I installed a diversion shield to route any further coolant discharge away from the electronics.

On the signal board replace the caps by the 5/9 volt regulators. c2p04 is the main culprit. 6 caps in total can be changed. I believe c2p05 also.
