SOURCE: Please tell me how to set my Scotts Accugreen 2000

I emailed the nursery that sold me the two products that I wanted to apply: Luscious Lawn and Garden and Luscious Lawn Corn Gluten. The owner emailed right back, telling me to use the highest setting because these products have large particles. Anyway, they are organic products, and an overdose will not burn my grass. Thank you. SOURCE: I need spreader setting to do 2.3 pounds per 1000

If the product you are planning on applying has a spreader setting for a Scotts SpeedyGreen, or specifically for the SpeedyGreen 3000; you can that recommendation in your Edgeguard Deluxe Spreader. If they do not have a suggested spreader setting for the SpeedyGreen, or SpeedyGreen 3000 settings then this question would best be answered by calling Scotts directly @ 1-800-543-8873. One of our associates would be happy to assist you further.

We do have a general rule, called the 50 by 20 rule which will allow you to use any product in any spreader, but there is some work that will need to be done.

* Weigh out and Place enough material in the hopper to cover 1,000 sq. ft. (In your case 2.3 pounds)

* Place the spreader setting on a low setting (Usually one-fourth of the spreader setting range or less. In your case i would suggest about 2.75 or 3)

* Spread the material over a 50 x 20 ft. area (This is 1,000 sq. ft.).

* If material is left over, you will need to increase the setting accordingly

* If they you up short, you will need to decrease the setting.

Do the low and high settings mean 10 and 20 pounds pressure

It depends on your pressure cooker brand - each one has a different setting. For pressure cookers that reach 15psi (pounds per square inch) the high setting would be 15 and the low setting would be 8 pounds of pressure. For electric pressure cookers the high pressure is generally 12psi the low pressure setting is generally 6 psi.

FYI: No domestic pressure cooker reaches 20 pounds of pressure.

I have been shown a format to find 20percent of 5000 pounds can you tell me if this is wrong please. On calculator 5000.multiply and divide1.20 gives me an answere of 4166.66 vat being 833.34 all the other...

If I understand you right you are dividing 5000 pounds by 1.2 to get 4166.66. This is not 20% of 5000 lbs, 20% of 5000 pounds is 1000 pounds you get that by multiplying 0.2 by 5000 pounds.

If you want to know what 5000 pounds increased by 20% is then you can multiply 5000 by 1.2 and that will give you 6000 pounds or 5000 pounds plus (20% of 5000 pounds) = 6000 pounds.

Hope that clears it up

Can I use my dlx spreader to apply lime? How do I figure the setting to use. My soil analysis calls for 50 lbs per 1000sqft.

Yes, lime can be applied in the in the Scotts DLX spreader. for a 50# per 1000 square foot application rate it is suggested to use a spreader setting on 7 on you model, and to walk over the same area three times. If you have any further questions feel free to contact Scotts @ 1-800-543-8873

What would be the setting to cover 4 pounds of product per 1,000 square feet? Scotts Drop Spreader PF4 Precision Green.

Unfortunately, because granular products come in many different particle s and densities, there is no way to determine a universal pounds per thousand spreader setting. The only solution would be to do a 50 foot by 20 foot test. The 50 by 20 rule will allow you to determine an appropriate pounds per thousand rate for any product in anyspreader, but there is some work that will need to be done. *Weigh out and Place enough material in the hopper to cover 1,000 sq. ft. (Inyour case 4 pounds) *Place the spreader setting on a low setting about 1/4 of the way open. * Apply the 4 pounds of material over a 50 x 20 ft. area (This is 1,000 sq. ft.). *If material is left over, you are underapplying, and will need to increase the setting accordingly; before applying to the remainder of the lawn *If you come up short, you are over applying and you will need to decrease the setting; before applying to the remainder of the lawn

My boyfriend accidently tossed our instruction manual and I have no clue what my settings are I want to make a turkey roast what setting would I put it on?

On a thawed turkey it will take about 20 minutes per pound on 350 degrees. About 25 minutes per pound if you have a stuffed turkey.

Cook Times

For the turkey, should be between 20 - 25 minutes per pound. About 20 minutes per pound for the ham, if memory serves. This is after your smoker comes up to temp and you start to see smoke from your smoke chips/chunks.

At about 20 minutes per pound, take the temp of the ham and turkey with a good instant read meat thermometer.

Also, I generally don't use water in the water pan for hams and turkeys, but that is a personal preference. If you put water in your pan, it'll probably take a few more minutes per pound.
