Question about HP LaserJet 3050 All-In-One Printer
Printer displayed no print cartridge, while a cartridge was in the printer.
installed a new cartridge and display shows the same problem
I opened the back of the printer and found the arm to the sensor was hung. Cleared and printer tested good. Steve www.TucsonPrinterService.com

1- Take all papers out.
2- Powercycle turn off and on.
3- The message will disappear, thin you can reinsert the papers.

I was not looking forward to taking my printer to an overpriced repair shop. Unplugging the power and removing the paper worked....thank you for the help.

"No Print Cartridge " message is displayed on the HP LaserJet 3015, 3020, or 3030 series product's control panel, even though a cartridge is present. The same message can be triggered on the HP LaserJet 101x series products.

I have a HP Laser jet 3320 and have this message popping up. I unplugged the power cord to reset it, took all the paper out, took the toner out and reinserted it and still nothing works. I looked in the back and everything seems to look fine. Don't know what to do.

Wow, I had the same problem where this solution didn't help, then I found out that there was a piece of paper, caught underneath the cartridge. So, just as the other guy said, make sure there is nothing underneath the cartridge!!!

Geez, I had the same issue as Solution #3 above. I am not even sure where the plastic tab came from, but it was buried way down in the bottom. I pulled it out, and everything is back working fine. There must be some plastic part on this thing built funny, where it breaks off without the user knowing.

After opening and closing the door several times, power cycling and trying the paper restacking nothing worked... I put in an old cartridge that worked before and it was fine. the cartridge that didn't work looked kind of old (remanufactured) maybe it wasn't showing up to the sensor well enough.

I'm one of the commenters above that said the Nov. 17 solution didn't work. Turns out that little plastic tab from the output tray had somehow fallen into the machine and was under the cartridge. make sure there's nothing under the cartridge!

SOURCE: HP Photosmart D7360
HP support decided it could not be repaired on line, agreed to replace it but found it was a few days out of waranty...so it is dead in the water. Probably not cost effective to repair it.

There is a small spring that holds the ink cartridge in the ink holder. You will see it stick out from the right hand side of the ink holder where the ink cartridge slides in. If that spring isn't being held to the ink holder by two plastic tabs, (I.E. the plastic tabs are broken) the printer will never recognize the cartridge. If the printer is still under warranty I would contact HP or an authorized repair center for HP. Both the black and color ink holder has this spring. I know of no way to repair this kind of breakage.
