Adjusting alarm volume on Asda E80010?

I have the alarm set to dab radio. When it goes off it's on full volume and I can't find a way to change the setting. Okay it wakes me up but then I have to climb down off the ceiling, any suggestions? Thanks, Mike.

SOURCE: Inspite of full volume set in the phone - still the Alarm tone is Feeble

Use the radio instead on mp3 as an alarm. Be sure to set radio volume to max. When it alarms, it will immediately used the volume you set. BE SURE TO LIVE HEAD PHONES ATTACHED!

SOURCE: How to work / setBuch radio alarmclock

I just found my manual for the Sharper Image SI785 CD/Radio Alarm Clock with Sound Soother. Had misplaced it for quite a while. Am not saavy enough to know how to post it online, but if anyone needs one, just email back your address and I'll be happy to send it. I remember how frustrating it has been trying to program/reprogram one without it. Looking forward now to knowing how to use this thing :)

SOURCE: Setting the reset stations on a DAB radio

I used lateral thinking! looked at the instructions for my other matsui DAB radio and worked it out from there. With this Ferguson model you have to find the station you want manually and then press one of the preset buttons (it only has 4 but these are enough for me)

ASDA durabrand radio model no. LEDAB0701 information bar has stopped working

Hi - As per original question, NOT A TV, the LEDAB0701 is an ASDA Durabrand DAB Radio, so no remote! Just hit this problem - and found a work-around. Sound always worked - display and backlight failed. Could not spring radio apart - as well as the screw in the battery compartment - there seems an anchor the other end that defeated me. I run off the supplied Power supply and rechargeable batteries. The batteries ran down and I plugged the psu and display came back - for a few minutes! The sealed Power Supply unit (psu) is probably unregulated non-switched mode type. It gave 15.6v unloaded. Unregulated psu's normally run 1.4x nominal voltage with no load and are pulled down to the nominal voltage as the load current is taken (i.e. ASDA psu should have been 9v x1.4 =12.6v not 15.6v).

Seems the radio is sensitive to high psu voltage as when I ran off a regulated psu - problem partly went away. Regulated means you get whatever voltage you set whether no load, half load or full rated load.

Also once switched off fault appears the internal batteries were keeping the display off setting. I used a 12v 1A variable regulated psu. It has 9v, 6v, 5v settings. 5v is too low. 6v works when already running but it needs 9v to start. However the problem is that the display will still switch off if I run for a long time on 9v, so I have to switch down to 6v. Alternative, start on battery and plug in 6v works [6xAA=7.2v nominal, range: 8.5v down to 6v]. Seems some internal components of radio or psu have drifted/become faulty.

You need a positive center/hole polarity. Ideally aim at 500mA or greater replacement psu. Ideally use a variable one so it can be used for other things if your problem is different and this is not the solution. If you have an unregulated variable psu (400mA or greater) try running at 6v (will be higher but perhaps not too high) then switch to 4.5v or 5v (again will be 1.4x higher) but make sure it is set to positive centre/hole.

Have bought a Technika DAB 109 CRF radio and no instructions. 1. how do I tune it and SAVE to presets 2. How do I set the alarm? Thank you

To set alarm mode :- press Alarm 1 or 2 briefly to swtich between choices of Alarm On-Beep / DAB / FM / Off, keep pressing this alarm button until you get to the mode you want then stop pressing and leave to settle.
To set time: Press and HOLD Alarm 1 or 2 to change time. Minutes will flash first, use dial to change numbers, when you've got to the number you want press jog/select to change hour, use dial to change hour number. If you just leave it alone once you've reached the hour you want it will set where you left it, but...
If you want to specify preset channel/volume/beep tone etc keep pressing jog/preset after setting hour and use dial to set your preferences.

How do I change the radio station on the radio alarm

Here is the full manual
http://www.timexaudio.com/pdf/T311IB57574_35.pdf

Here are the instructions from the manual.

Setting the Radio Alarm
1. Press and hold the
Radio Alarm Button. The display will flash and the Radio Alarm Indicator will
appear. If you do not begin setting the time within ten seconds of pressing the button, the display will stop
flashing and you will need to press the
Radio Alarm Button again.
2. While the display flashes, press the Reverse and Forward Buttons to set the wake time. Hold a button
for a few seconds to set the time rapidly. Be sure to set the correct AM/PM time, as shown by the PM Indicator.
3. After setting the radio alarm time, you will need to select the station. First, press the Radio Band Button
to select a radio frequency. Next, select a station using the Memory Set 1-6 Buttons. For more
information on programming radio stations into memory, see the Programming Radio Station Settings section
of this manual. Rotate the Volume Thumbwheel to set the wake sound volume.
4. After setting the radio alarm wake time and sound, you will need to select the 7-5-2 setting. The 7-5-2 setting
lets you set the alarm for a full week, weekdays only, or the weekend. Before setting the alarm, be sure that
the correct date is set, as shown in the “Auto-Set” and Manual Time and Date Settings section of the manual.
While the display is still flashing, press the Date/7-5-2 Button until the desired setting is shown.
5. After you have set the radio alarm wake time, sound, and 7-5-2 setting, press the Enter Button. The
Radio Alarm Indicator will appear on the display, showing that the radio alarm has been set.
