Question about Motorola Cell Phones
My phone shows HW check fail. The service provided by Motorola help centre is really sad. please help
HW Check Fail, just indicates the hardware is not working correct. Cam be anything from a lose contact and bad memory or a defective chip. Without a tech and a repair shop, you won't be able to use it again. Sorry

I would agree with Harrie. There is some hardware failure. Depending on the service center, they may not have ever supported your model. You might be better to get a new phone.

If you are on Cingular/AT&T, you can go to aT&T's website to fill out a form and get the SIM unlock code for yourself. I dont know about the other carriers. Remember some carriers may NOT use SIM cards.

it has to be bad reception....have u tried contacting ur netwrk service provider...plz do check with them and update me...

Its because your network operator has blocked gprs in ur account..
u must subscribe to their plan before u can use it

What to do if - "Contact Service Provider", "Tampert Alter", "Wait before enter special Code" message is displayed: If after inserting a simcard from a different provider you notice the message "contact service provider" or any of the messages above, you will need to leave your phone on, at that "contact service provider" screen, for 1-3 hours. Just let it sit on the screen and dont touch any buttons during that time. It will then switch to something like "enter subsidy password", and you can then enter your code.

sounds like either your sim card isnt inserted correctly, or the slots arent turned on. sim card slot 2 is the slot closest to the phone, gold chip faces up, sim card slot one is slightly elevetaed off the phone, gold chip faces down. make sure it is inserted all the way down. perss fimly. then go to SETTINGS>DUAL SIM SETTINGS>DUAL SIM OPEN>CLICK OK. This opens up both sim card slots. after you find out which slot you are going to use, you can repeat these steps and only have opened the one you are using.
