Question about Electrolux Washing Machines

2 Answers

Our Electrolux EWFLS70JRR0 washer has issues with door not unlocking and then occasionally stopping mid cycle. We have been limping along by unplugging and resetting lock but starting to see more random issues happening. Pretty much always run on "colors" wash setting so not sure if would happen in other wash cycle types. Machine is cleaned with Tide washing machine cleaner once per month.

Thank you for your post, friend!

Based off the information you have provided your Electrolux washer is displaying multiple issues. This sounds like a faulty control panel. You may need to disassemble your washer and test each electrical component for a proper diagnosis. This is not a simple DIY job and I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper repairs. This will help you avoid any future issues. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

SOURCE: My washing machine stops mid cycle

issue where washer stops and water won't drain might mean something is in drain area.

look at my issue "eco smart won't drain, smells hot" and see about the sock. I found one of my husband's socks so far down in the tub bottom that I couldn't see it when I looked between plastic outer liner and wash tub. Had to remove black motor/white housing on bottom of machine--which i had to replace cause it burned out. That is when I saw the sock and pulled it out through a quarter-sized hole.

The cycle doesn't advanceWhen the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

SOURCE: washing machine makes buzzing noise

Check the water pump for an obstruction in the chamber area, your pump may be sticking and that will cause the buzzing sound. The water pump runs during the fill portion of the cycle on several of the selected wash cycles to recirculate the water.

If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. If the washer stops mid cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. Aeg protex how to open door mid cycle

To open door during mid cycle, turn off washer by plug and wait a couple of minutes until you hear a click, then the lock light ( assuming it has one ) will release, but make sure there is no water in the tub before opening the door. If possible when door is unlocked, run the drain setting and let the water pump out before hand. Hope this helps.

    Hi

It seems that something is clogged in the drain pump assembly and you have to clean it to solve this issue. After cleaning if the issue returns then test the door lock assembly, if bad it should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Whirlpool frontload duet washer F 6 problem

    hello cjkcp
    Welcome to Fixya

You said, your washer (now 4 yrs old) occasionally stops mid cycle flashing F 6 code. Is this something we can fix or do I have to call a repair man?

    F/06 Drive Motor Tachometer Error

The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.
    • Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
    • Check the Drive Motor
    • Check the MCU
    • Check the Wire Harness

I believe this needs a hands on tech to daignose this. Unless you feel you undrstand the problem your self?
