Hi Could you perhaps explain how you drained the filter? Where is the filter placed on this mashine?

When you notice your Whirlpool Duet washer is draining slow, it might be due to debris in the drain pump filter. The drain pump on the Whirlpool Duet has a clean out filter that catches debris and small clothing items that may enter the drain hose. This filter prevents the drain pump motor from clogging, which may result in damage to the pump. The location of the drain pump filter in a Whirlpool Duet washer is accessible through the lower access panel below the washer door Read more :http://www.ehow.com/how_7839947_location...

A red alert appears which states to clean filter, can you please describe where the filter is?

usually the filter is accessible from front lower part of the mashine. sometimes you have to remove plastic cover first by unscrewing or pulling it. Filters are usually installed in place with screws or locking mechanism.

The mashine does not work, the red button PUMP is lightning. there is clothes and water still in the mashine. What can i do?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking filters and motors ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Hi my washing mashine wont spin, and code 0E comes up on sreen and start button starts flashing PLEASE HELP THANKS

That is actually DE. (Drain Error) Open the small access door at the bottom left corner of the front panel. Use the small hose to drain the remaining water out of machine. Unscrew the big knob and pull it out to clean out filter. (If filter was clear, replace pump motor.)

I have a hot point washin mashine that does not finish a wash and stopes half way through then lights at front of mashine start flashin

Had this with mine. Cleaned the filter (as decribed elsewhere on this site). Also cleaned the component fto which the drain hose attaches - guess this is the pump. Just unclip the drain hose and the hose going into this pump, and check there is nothing obstructing the pump. The clips are a bit of a fiddle, you might want 2 jubilee clips to replace them. Then ran a "maintenance wash" as per manual (ie a hot wash, no clothes, no detergent). Seems OK now

From time to time the mashine is not evacuate the water and the mashine will not start for a new load .I have to unscrew the filter, drain the water and then will wash. Is a problem with the pump? thank you...

a front loader huh, usually there is an access panel at the bottom front held on with 2 screws. remove this panel and trhere should be a trap filter that is plugged up. remove filter and clean it out, than put it back. or the water pump is going bad try the filter first.

Hi my LG 8kg top loader washing mashine says UE and wont drain

UE code means an imbalance error. Either the load is too small, the appliance is tilted, laundry is gathered to one side or a non distributable things are put into the drum.
Make sure the unit is placed in level location and distribute the load evenly inside the drum. Do not load the unit with on-distributable items.

Washing mashine repair

Plug off the wall. Clean out your outlet filter. Access is a door in the front bottom of your machine, be prepared for some water to come out. Refit.
