Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How are you hooking it up to your TV, through the AV color cords or HDMI, or HD AV cords?

Connecting my ps3 to a jmb tv?

Do you mean the TV is on AV or the PS3 is on AV? Either way, try this, it will not hurt your PS3 at all!
Turn off the ps3, then hold down the power button until you hear the second beep, then can take up to a minute. Once you hear the second beep allow it to boot normally.
My friend swears you need to do this with the ps3 powered on. But I don't think so, but just in case the original solution doesn't work, try this.
If this doesn't work, it's probably a problem with the cords, or the tv.

Hook up a/v cord and have it on standy (red light)...push and hold power button for about 7-10 seconds or until you hear it beep......Let off...wait another 5-10 seconds.....is it on now????? if not your audio/video card in it might have went out....

Theres a wave going across the tv screen whenever my ps3 three is on i tried different av cables a new power cord and nothing helped

has nothing to do with your tv or ps3 or xbox ive had this problem and fixed it...you are simply running to many things in the house or on that specific circut at once and the ps3 and tv are not getting enough juice.

Hello can you help with this error!

When you switch from one cable connection to another (Hdmi to AV etc) you need to reset the PS3 to its default settings. Basically what is happening is, your PS3 is set to HDMI, so when you plug in AV cables it doesn't know it. So you have to reset it. Hook your PS3 up to whatever cables (make sure system is fully off) then hold the front power button down for a few seconds.

Doing this will reset the display settings. You can then go into the XMB (main menu) and choose your connection. Although the PS3 should do this during the start up on its own.

Hope this helps.

Problem with picture

If you turn the unit off and hold down the power on the unit for 3-5 seconds it should beep and show the picture. This will reset the output settings and it should work fine. This is what I have been seeing in other forums.
