if the compressor is running your ref. should be getting cold. Their is a defrost timer but when it is in defrost the compressor shuts off. I think you do have a leak.

The temp stuck on six for the freezer and fridge is due to the "thermistor" for both sides that need to be replaced.
Here is a link to the part for the refrigerator side.
Here is the part for the freezer side.
Both of them plug into the back of the control panel.
The water filter leaking is due the pressure that builds up from the filter becoming clogged. If you use the water quite often then it will need to be replaced every few months. A way around this is to put a high quality filter on the supply line before the refrigerator.

The only thing that I know could be causing the problems is the=> 5303918476 Defrost Control Board
This part is behind the control panel inside the fresh food section where you adjust the temperatures. Let me know if you have questions, Thanks Sea Breeze
You obviously have the wrong model number listed on your post. ?? What is the correct model number listed on your model? The model mentioned in your post has mechanical thermostat and yours has didital.
