This is a dangerous job, so be careful, the chain is very sharp.

There's an adjusting screw near the inside end of the saw chain. Loosen the screw until the chain can be easily removed.
Re-install the new chain and tighten the screws until the chain is snug but not too tight. You should be able to pull the chain upward about 1/4 in. max.

The 8 angle anvil pruner sku #836-7013 has a design flaw. It is not a saw; it is not a chainsaw; it has Is there a pruner like this with a better design?

I think this is one of those cutter blade type of trimmers , I do know you have to keep blades razor sharp to cut anything with them , as they do tend to go dull easy (by design) , id go with a pole pruner chain saw if your looking to replace it , but beware as pruner chain blades and chain saws are not interchangeable due to fact that pruner's are made to cut on both sides of bar , chainsaws only cut on down stroke hence have a much more aggressive chain rake , don't put a chain for this on a pruner saw you'll be putting your self at risk of injury

14SB REMMINGTON HOW TO REPLACE THE CHAIN

Remove the cover, loosen the bolts to allow the bar to slide toward the sprocket. Lift chain off the sprocket and pull out from the notch in the bar. Be sure to turn the chain the same direction, otherwise you will be cutting with the back side of the blades. Slide the new chain blade onto the sprocket then fit into the bar. Once that is accomplished pull the bar firmly outward watching to see that the blade stays inside the slot of the bar. While keeping pressure on the chain and bar, tighten the retaining bolts and replace cover

My poulan 18 inch chain saws blade turns but only cuts in about an inch and won't go any farther. It's two days old and worked fine cutting the first 2 trees down.

It sounds like the chain does want sharpening, it depends on what you are cutting ( type of timber, dirty timber, burnt timber etc ) as to how long before it needs sharpening, if the chain comes into contact with the ground below the tree it will lose its edge instantly.

New Homelite. Cut great for an hour, then the chain wouldn't grip or cut. Chain was loose so I tightened but still doesn't cut- just

The blade is no longer sharp, something not unusual after about an hour of cutting. How long a blade stays sharp depends on what type of wood you're cutting, whether the blade contacted the ground or anything other than wood at any time, and how hard you are working the bar through the wood. If you are cutting hardwood or something like railroad ties the lifespan of the blade is greatly reduced. You can easily sharpen the blade with a hand file or dremel tool with a chain saw blade kit on it or have the blade sharpened. Best practice is to have one or two extra blades so you can change them as they become dull.

Electric chain saw pole wouldn't cut branches

Check to make sure the blade is not installed backwards. It's an easy mistake to make, everything will work OK, but the saw won't cut if the blade is on backwards.

I am looking for simple how to work it instructions

There are two levers that must be pressed to switch it on. Make sure that the sight glass in the oil bottle always has oil in it, Any thinner oil will do. The chain drive teeth should almost clear the guide when pulled out, that is the correct tension for the chain. (When this tension can no longer be maintained the chain must be replaced) Cut with the blade close to the guard and avoid using the tip to cut. Be very careful using the upper side of the blade to cut with, avoid it as best you can. Make sure that you are on sure footing when using the machine. Be careful not to pinch the blade and guide when cutting. Gauge the part being cut so that it falls away from you and the saw. Avoid cutting dry wood, especially hard wood. It dulls the blade very quickly. Avoid cutting dirty sandy wood, this causes wear. Keep hands, clothing and hair away from the moving blade. Unplug the saw when doing any work on it. Thoroughly clean the machine after use. remove the blade and clean out the recesses around the blade and the drive gear, blow or brush out these areas well.
That is about it, otherwise it is common sense safety precautions - remember, this is an extremely dangerous machine and is not at all forgiving for even the smallest lapse in concentration of care.

Why my chain saw always cuts at an angle

a lot of people have this problem with a chain saw and cant get a strate cut, most of the time its down to them trying to force the saw through the wood and in doing this the saw cuts around corners as there pull is not square to the cut,, let the saw do the work, not you, if your pulling on the saw to make it cut well then it has a very dull or blunt blade,,,is there any side to side "rock" on the chain in this new bar? how have you sharpend it? dose the chain have the same pitch on both side's? are all the teeth cutting at the same depth? if its cutting around corners it could still be the chain pitch worn out, if so the chain is past its best as well, but most of the time its all down to how hard and how squarely your pulling on the blade when cutting,,,the first thing in logging to lurn is to cut squarely no easy task that! just dont force the saw to cut!! it will cut just as fast or faster without forseing it,, if all this still dont get you cutting right change the chain for a new one,,,the only hard work with a chain saw is holding it up to the tree and humping it around not cutting with it, thats the blade's job to do so the faster you try to make it cut the more out of true the cut go's as all your doing is bending the bar out of alinement,,all in all, its two hands for the job and a very gentle pressure on the saw, start the cut with the blade spinning and dont stop the blade in the wood, cut right through

Poulan 18" Chainsaw - Motor runs fine but blade stopped spinning

Chain may be locked in the bar. Caused by low oil flow to chain. You will probably have to remove the bar and blade. Then try to rotate the sprocket, if it will not rotate you may have to replace or repair the clutch. with the blade off try starting the saw and see if it is oiling. There is a small hole in housing that oil should be visible coming out at a fairly good rate. If not you will either have to open orifice in the housing or repairing the oil pump.
