Question about Dell Office Equipment & Supplies

Since you did not provide the make and model, you will have to pull out the manual and check the settings. It may provide you with a setting change for the background color. Perhaps you can connect it to a computer, open an new blank document and project the blank image to get your white light.

-toggle the laptop display using the FN keys and F5 I believe. -lower laptop resolution to 800 x 600 -look in laptop display properties for lcd or external display settings, see if it (external crt) has to be enabled on the laptop first.

If the signal won't go through you will have to either have your Mainboard Repaired or Replaced.
This is unfortunatelly a common Mainbaord problem , and the above is the only way to get it fixed.

your display settings may be off, so change settings to factory reset and you may have to drop the resolution on your computer. you may also have a bad cable, so try a different cable.

If the problem is what I describe as a blue haze over the entire image projected, I was told this is a defect in the cable - we have a Dell Video Projector 2300 - and it takes only a dell VGA cable.
So, the problem is in the cable - solution is replace cable.
