SOURCE: How do I open my gucci watch to change batteries?

Get a #0 1.6mm precision Phillps screwdriver (these are brittle) or similarly strong, thin piece of steel.

Hold the watch upside-down across your index finger while gripping the straps tightly between your index finger and thumb on one side, and index finger and middle finger on the other (ie. squeeze the strap around your index finger).

On the underside of the watch, stick the tip of the screwdriver under a square slot where the watchband is connected at an angle perpendicular to the strap. Firmly pry upwards on the cover on one side, then the other, until the cover pops off.

The battery is a Renata 379.

To put the cover back on, align the square slots precisely with the ends of the straps (keep these out straight), then firmly push the cover straight down until it "snaps" shut.

SOURCE: How to Open a Gucci watch

Most watches are either screwed on and typically have a series of small notches around the circumference of the case back. A special tool is generally called for. Otherwise they are "snap back" . These are simply pressed on. To remove you can carefully use a regular knife in the absence of a "case knife". There is usually a small gap/groove/notch area to insert the balde and lift the back off.

I suggest you take it to a watch shop and ask them to repair it for you.

It can be more difficult than it appears to remove and replace backs particularly.

SOURCE: Bulova stailess steel 16 Diamond

You can try a polishing cloth to see if this removes the discoloration, or very gently brush it with a toothbrush and mild soap ( very little water) if this does not help you will need to send the watch back to Bulova to their service center. 1-800-228-5682 is the Bulova service center phone number, call them for further instructions. Sometimes the discoloration is caused by certain chemicals found in lotions, soaps and cleaners. Hope this helps! thank you!

New Gucci watch is not running, will taking off the plastic film with the red strip on the back make a difference.

That decal/sticker is usually only an indicator of a un-worn watch.

The only thing that will turn the battery on is pushing in the STEM.

If it does not run then... your battery SHELF LIFE has been
exceeded... Time to get a new battery

What's the proper battery for my Gucci 6400L?

Ensure the watch battery is dead. A Gucci watch is not exactly a cheap trinket, thus the battery should have a fairly long lifespan before requiring a replacement. Once you see the hands of time stop on the face of your luxury item, you can be sure it is time to purhase a new battery. The typical cost for a new battery starts at $50. There are three categories for a Gucci watch: Automatic watches, quartz watches, and bracelet watches. Depending on the type, you will need a battery that suits one of these classifications. Batteries for Gucci watches can usually be obtained on any discount/surplus website (e.g. eBay, batteryright.com, or the actual Gucci store).

How can i tell a fake from authentic?

mcdevito75 here, Best Bet is to look for a small watch repair shop in your area, they can authenticate your Gucci watch for you. If you can, remove the back cover of your Gucci and record any and all numbers and other info off the watches movement itself then check online at Gucci.com. If your not familiar with watches, specially Gucci an expensive watch let a small watch repair shop remove the back cover and give you all info needed to authenticate the watch.

Larger clasp

Unfortunately, I do not think this is going to be an easy fix. You may want to take it to a local independent watchmaker. Gucci may sell larger clasps but they may be difficult to find even from them directly. I have looked at the watch you have. It it was solid gold a Jeweler could just make it a touch larger.

Looking at the clasps the options i see is

Have the bangle removed and wear it on a leather strap,
Possibly remove the clasp where it says gucci and have the pins laser welded so that the clasp stays in a fixed position similar to a bangle.
