Question about Music

1 Answer

I have a Kawai CN-2 digital piano that has worked fine for years. Recently, there is a constant white noise in both speakers that gets louder and softer when I turn the volume up and down. I've taken it apart and don't see any problems with wire connections, and can't find any mechanical thing that causes the noise to change for the better or worse. I've also tried different plugs, made sure there was no interference from other electronics, etc. Nothing seems to change the white noise situation. Does anyone know what might cause this type of white noise problem? Thanks, Tony

Sounds like a filtering cap is going bad. I'd suggest a repair shop.

Kawai mr-370 digital piano. Why is it stuck on the loudest volume and does not respond to the volume control slide?

The solder contacts on the fader may not be connected to the board. It may also be a software glitch. If you reboot / initalize the instrument it may fix it.

Some buzzing in left speaker when low notes played

A couple of possibilities
One the speaker broke loose, typically there is lock tight on the threads that hold the speaker in place, lower frequencies can also cause buzzing noise,
I have fixed this problem in the past with a hot glue gun, running a small bead carefully around the edges of the speaker, bonding it to the unit,
Another possibility is the speaker is blown or worn out, over time speakers can weaken from constant use and coil movement, in this case the speaker should be replaced...

Hope this helps?

What is the piano age by serial number 1872

Hello, you will need to look inside the Factory's site. Generally, they put a link to this purpose. If not possible, try a search section in Google, using words like: "serial number" age piano Kawai, changing the Kawai word for the name of the maker of your instrument.
Good luck!

I Have a Technics PR-305 Digital piano that I have for a little over 12 years ago that I enjoy playing on very much, I have a distortion problem in my speakers it`s not very bad I was told in Fixya th

The Speakers can be replaced with any brand. The thing you need to know is the OHM rating for the speaker. OHM is also called impedance. Unless the sticker has fallen off the back of the speaker that information will be on that sticker. OHM rating MUST match the old speaker. For instance 4 OHM, 8 OHM, 16 OHM are common ratings. All different ratings but VERY important to get this correct otherwise you could damage the electronics of your instrument.

Hi, I just got a new williams allegro digital piano, and the right speaker sounds noise with low keys.

If this is a brand new unit, exercise your warranty!

BUT FIRST see if packing material worked through the speaker grill... you know littel pieces of the packing peanuts or otherr contamination that sits in the speaker cone and rattles.

White spirit is NOT what you should use. Mineral spirit leaves a residue film.

Use 99% isoprophyl alcohol.

ALSO inspect the contactboard for cracks by candeling with bright light behind it.
