Question about Creda Dishwashers

1 Answer

When you switch the dishwasher on it just makes a strange noise and vibrates for a few seconds then switches off. The water will not drain either. Has the pump failed?

Hi,the inlet vaves the one that lets the water in,I had one go wrong all the machine did was start then make a bang then gos off,
replaced inlet valve then water went into machine but then another isue,I think another valve,so rubbished the machine.
if the machine is left standing for any lenth of time the insides get corrodid with limescale so realy need to be dismantald and any parts that look suspect need to be checked or if not shore replaced.
sorry could not help more,
if you wont to have a go replace the inlet valve first,
its a cupple of screws and a few clips.
x-head screwdriver and long-nose-plyers.
all the best.

It sounds like something's trapped in the pump touching the impeller. Drain the machine, isolate the electrics and see if you can access the pump, you may find a piece of debris or small article in the pipework.

I have an AEG F55002ViOP dishwasher. It's making a strange grinding sound and showing error code 30. Can anyone advise how to solve this please.

Error "i30" means that water remains in base because leakage or overflow. In this case, in order to prevent flooding, drain pump running continuously.
When we talk about AEG dishwasher, drain pump works even the power is turned off (must be connected to the wall outlet, otherwise anti-flooding system will not work).
The noise what you heard during operation indicates that something is blocking the drain pump.
Remedy: you should first remove the water from the bottom of the dishwasher and determine leakage then check why the drain pump makes noise.

If you work around the dishwasher, you always take care that appliance must be disconnected from the power supply.

Good luck.

F1 error. Loud noise and vibrating. I turned off my braker because the machine would not shut off. What do I need to do. Or is it better to call a tech.. What price am I looking at for the repair. Thanks

F1 error means flood switch at base of dishwasher under bottom drawer has been set off. This is due to water leakage.
Unsure why the vibration is occuring. Can you please confirm by adding some information in the comments field if the F1 is displayed on both drawers or just one and which one.

you need to take the drain pump off and clear whatever is in there. Pull the dishwasher out, remove the bottom cover or gain access to drain pump. Thats what it sounds like

Dishwasher is reading "overfilling", but no water is in unit. Door can open, noise of motor or pump continues and will not shut off even with the Power switch. Only way to stop noise is to turn off the...

HI- The flood switch has been tripped. It is located under the unit and is not really accessible except by a Tech. The most likely cause it poor draining; if there is a little water left over from each part of the cycle then eventually the water will overfill into the pan under the dishwasher and trip the flood switch. Check the Air Gap on your sink for blockage if you have one and check the dishwasher filter inside the unit. You can just let it sit for a few days or a week and the water in the pan will eventually evaporate and the switch will remedy itself, or you can call a Tech and have them dry it out and check the drain function. Hope this helps, good luck.

Loud vibrating/humming noise

Okay...based on the model number, this is a Frigidaire manufactured dishwasher. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and type in the your model number in the Search menu, you will find a useful illustration under the "Motor and Pump" heading. The drain pump is listed as item #60 in the drawing. Before you go through any major dis-assembly, check to make sure the pump is securely in place and not loose. Sometimes the pump comes loose from the mounting bracket and vibrates. Also, sure nothing is laying against it causing vibration noises (I've seen this before). If the solution is not that simple, remove the spray arm assembly inside the dishwasher and inspect all the debris traps under the spray arm assembly. The wash pump and drain pump sumps are located here. Check to make sure there's nothing obstructing the input to the drain pump. Lastly, if all else fails, remove the drain pump and inspect the impeller. If the you've inspected everything and still have the noise problem, replace the drain pump. The motor could possible be failing. The part number on the Sears website is 154580301 and costs about $40. Repairclinic.com has the same part listed as item #1257094 for $37.50 if you wish to do some comparable pricing.

I hope this helps you. If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know.

PS Even the quietest of all dishwashers will make some noise. However, if it has gotten to the point where you can hear it in the next room, you probably need to inspect to find the source of the problem. This is not true with all dishwasher manufacturers, but in many cases, the only difference between your "Quiet-Pack" line and regular low-end models is added insulation behind the door and lower panel to help quieten noise.
