My Samsung ps42q97hdx/xeu tv cuts out after an hour or so and just clicks I have replaced two blown capasitors can you advise me what to do next please. Thanks. Stewart.

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

My jvc hd-56fc97 won't turn on.the power and lamp indicators blink alternately. i just replaced the bulb but it didn't help.

normally it would be a capasitor inside that is blown on one of the modular boards in unit .Youtube for explanation and possible ade to fix yourself.Note that these capasitors need to be grounded out not to be shocked

I found a blown fuse in my LG Plasma

Yes the main board is shorted, a very expensive repair, they only service the board not the parts on it. About $400.

I heard some sound and my monitor stopped working not even starting Model is LG L1719SLCD

The sound you heard is typical of a blown capasitor. A capasitor over time gets stressed and can bulge, it then pops when the pressure gets too much.

All that needs to be done is to solder in a new capasitor with one of the same value, then your monitor should work again.

Claim warranty support if it is available to you, another option it to contact an appliance repair man or a computer technician.

Take care!

Center speaker doesn't work. It has a positive and negative in back so I split a speaker wire (i am so sound system illiterate) and just put them in an available site in the back of a 5.1 channel receiver...

Hello

Ok, are you sure the speaker is working?
Test this by plugging a speaker which you know is working into the centre channel.

If there is still no sound, then there might be some capasitors on the centre channel that have blown up.

If the device is still in the warrenty, send it back, they will repair it for free. If the device is out of the warrenty, send it to an electronic repair shop, they will repair the blown capasitors for cheap.

Hope this can steer you in the right direction,

Kind regards
Andrea

Screen goes black

The video adapter board is what controls the monitor. If you are going to replace a board that would be the one.

Capasitor

You can try, but it may have blown due to some other problem. If you see what type/value it was give it a try. If it physically blew up I would wear safety glasses before you power up the new one if you're going to have the case open.
