My Bissell proheat2x leaks water from bottom of machine, if you have the water tank full and cleaner and leave it sit it drains out onto the floor, it leaks when you are using it to, is this a seal or...

Nope, not a seal problem, just natural good old fashioned natural gravity. I know it doesn\'t take long for it to start leaking after use but Bissell covers this in the manual. Thoroughly clean the unit, run clean rinse water through every cycle and empty all tanks and cavities after use. Do not leave water in any of the tanks when not in use. What doesn\'t leak on your floor (which doesn\'t take long) could cause permanent blockages in the lines. It\'s a pain, I know, but I use the garage or back deck to park and prep mine after use.

If your floor has acrylic finish then some solutions will dry coat the top. Does buffing it after litely with a rag shine back Up. If so then you need to get solution made for your floor.

Streaks on porcelein tile from shark steam mop

Try washing your pads in JUST water and Baking soda or Borax (and only about a tbs). Sounds like a hard water problem. I had the same issue with my wood floors so I put some Murphy's Oil in a spray bottle and it polished my floors while I steamed. Perhaps there is a good tile cleaner/polish you can spray with a spray bottle while you mop? Just a suggestion. I haven't had this particular issue with tile (our floors are concrete and wood) but the streaks went away when I started using just Borax in my laundry with them, no fabric softener, no dryer sheets. My mom used to use Isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle with her steam mop. Make sure your tile is well seeled too, it gives you a better finish. The alcohol dries on it's own too without leaving residue.

Dyson 18 losing suction

Check the HEPA filter if it has one. This bit of foam gets clogged over time and significantly reduces the suction especially if you've been vacuuming a lot of very dusty areas i.e. dust from building work etc. Just wash the filter with lots of water and leave to dry before reinserting.

Dirty Water drops behind shampooer

You are over sudsing your recovery tank. The machine is made to shut off the air flow if water starts to be pulled into the motor, but bubbles want trigger that. So if there are a lot of bubbles in your recovery tank, the get sucked into the motor (Which will destroy it eventually) and then the moisture gets exhausted onto the floor from the motor.

Solutions
1. Use less soap (Read the directions, you may be using too much)
2. Use a different kind of soap (The concentration might not be right for your machine)
3. Use a defoamer (Rug Doctor has a defoamer)

Water leaks

I removed the clean water tank to refill it and all the cleaning solution poured out onto the floor. Turns out a plastic pin with a spring and a rubber washer also fell out onto the floor leaving a hole in the bottom of the tank. Calls to Hoover and local repair center all ended the same with the need to order a new clean water tank for about $45 and two weeks for delivery. Went to my local True Value Hardware store and within a few minutes we found a workaround using two 7/16"x 1/4"x3/32" #780 Ring from Danco Inc. Pulled off the proprietary Hoover O Ring that had obviously failed and put two of these O Rings on in its place and so far it is working perfectly. Total cost $1.35. Would be nice if Hoover cared to take better care of their customers by offering this almost free and quick solution to the problem.
