Don't think there is a remote turn on. I think this vehicle uses a data bus instead. A metra gmos-04 is required to keep the factory amp, chimes and on star.

Creative 9 pin male din damaged

The only way to go is Replace the 9 pin adapter. Radio Shack may have the adapter, check them out. You will need to be observant when locating the proper colored wire corresponding with each pin. Two ways to do this and all require a soldering iron. Either split or open the cover on the 9 pin male adapter and expose the wires going to each pin. Identify the colors and pin numbers and draw a diagram on paper to keep for reattaching the wires later on. Cut 1/4 of the insulation back from the end of each wire and tin the wires. In short, hold the solder to the wire ends and heat with the iron so a flow of solder runs along the bare wire. Make certain to put a connector cover onto the wires prior to soldering each wire in place on the pin end. Simply set the correct colored wire end in the proper pin number, hold the iron to the pin back end and allow the wire to affix itself. Do this with all wires. If you do not have 9 wires, that is not unusual, just do the procedure with what wires are available. If you cannot get the outer jacket off of the current 9 pin connecter, then you will need a Volt/Amp meter. Here you simply cut the wire approximately 1/2 to 2/4 Inch back from the cable 9 pin adapter, and locate the pin that corresponds to the colored wire. Using the RESISTANCE part of a meter, when you touch the two probes together the needle moves on the scale. Touch one end to a pin and try each colored wire end until you see the movement on the scale. Now you know what color corresponds with each pin. Solder each colored wire as mentioned above.

I need to wire a silver salute mic to a cobra 142 gtl 5 pin what color wire goes towhat mic pin

dont go by colors.. go by what wires are on the switch and mic element.. mics can be rewired and no one told you the colors could have changed FYI..

Pin #1 ~ Audio
Pin #2 ~ Shield
Pin #3 ~ Receive
Pin #4 ~ Switch Wire
Pin #5 ~ Transmit

always go by connections not color of the wire. that way you learn and you can do any mic. to any radio.

Need pic of power hook up to mother board

How about the motherboard manual instead?

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P4P800+SE&p=1&os=

To the right of the - Select OS - box, click on the blue Down Arrow.
Click on WinXP

(Doesn't matter which Operating System is chosen, we're just going after the motherboard manual)

Scroll down, click on the + sign to the left of Manual (10)
Scroll down, go to the 4th file down -

Version E1886
P4P800 SE User's Manual English Version E1886

Right underneath this file name click on the Blue - Global

Ignore if you are aware;
This is a PDF file. The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.

After you click on Global, it may take up to 30 seconds before the first page comes up.

At the Top of the Adobe Reader is the page number box. It is to the right of Page: and the Down Arrow.

You can go page by page to arrive at the page you want, or if you know the page you want; perform this,

1) Put your mouse cursor in the page number box, to the Right of 1
Left-click once. Now backspace the 1 out.

2) Type the page number you want.
3) Press the Enter key

Go to Page 25 - 2.2.3 Motherboard Layout

[Use the Zoom Out icon at top ( - ) by clicking on it, to decrease the view size.
Use the Zoom In icon ( + ) to increase the view size ]

The front of your computer is the Front Panel.
The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the Main wires from the Front Panel connect to; is the Front Panel header.

Goes by many abbreviations.
Here we see it is PANEL_1
Two rows of 10 contact pins.

Now go to Page 55 - 12. System Panel Connector

I see no numbering system is used, so I will number the pins.
The Top row is numbered EVEN.
The Bottom row is numbered ODD.

Starting on the Top row, going from LEFT to RIGHT,
Pins 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20.

Starting on the Bottom row, going from Left to Right,
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED. (Light)
Pin 1 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the HDD LED is dim when the Harddrive is active, switch the wires around.

B) Pin 5 is N/C. Not Connected. Don't even know if the pin is there, or just a blank spot. (But you will)

C) Pins 7 and 9 are for a SMI lead.
"System Management Interrupt Lead (2 pin SMI)
The 2-pin connector permits switching to suspend mode, or "GREEN" mode, in which system activity is instantly decreased to save power and to expand the life of certain system components. Attach the case-mounted suspend switch to this 2-pin connector."

Suggest leave alone.

D) Pins 11 and 13 are for the Power On switch.

E) Pin 15 is N/C. (Or again, may not be there)

F) Pins 17 and 19 are for a Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used.

G) Pins 2, 4, and 6 are for a Power On LED. (Light)
A 3-wire Power On LED.

Pin 2 is for a Positive ( + ) wire.
Pin 4 is for a Positive ( + ) wire
Pin 6 is for a Negative ( - ) wire.

This is for a Power On LED that is Dual Color.
Used back in the day when there was Turbo Mode, and Normal Mode.
A farce in reality.
Turbo Mode WAS the normal mode, while Normal Mode was a lesser version.

Usually a Green/Yellow dual color LED.
Green - Turbo, Yellow - Normal.

One side, or can be said as color; of the LED went to Pin 2.
The other side, or other color, went to Pin 4.
Ground (Negative - ) wire goes to Pin 6.

If using a Single color LED, (2-wire), suggest connect Positive ( + ) wire to Pin 2, and Negative ( - ) wire to Pin 6.

H) Pins 8, 10, and 12 are for Bambi to use, when running around without spots...

NO!..............you gonna' believe that, geez?
I just wanted to see if you were following along, after the dual color LED thing.

Pins 8, 10, and 12 are N/C.

I) Pins 14, 16, 18, and 20 are used for a small internal speaker.
Used to hear BIOS Beep Codes.
Pin 14 is for the Positive ( + ) wire
Pin 20 is for the Negative ( - ) wire.

Also uses a 20-pin ATX main power cable, (Right side of Ram Memory slots),

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20

,and a 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable, (Bottom left corner of processor socket),

My trailer brake lights on my 2001 suburban 2500 work when the truck is not running but when the truck is running they will not work. All other trailer lights work including the blinkers which is the same...

suggest downloading the trailer pin standard for whatever number of pins your trailer plug has and tracing the wiring from the colors . The standard will tell you what color goes to what light and what pin number it should be on . Also 5 pin and 7 pin are different . You can plug a 5 pin into a 7 pin but the wiring is different .

Also check the trailer socket is grounded at the car body properly. As this can cause lots of weird symptoms.
