SOURCE: Poulan 335 chainsaw starts easily and then stalls

1. You will first want to check your fuel lines for cracks/breaks.
2. If they are o.k. then you will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb. cleaner. Make sure that the small screen in carb. is free of debris. Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. Check the gasket and diaphragm for breaksor wear. (NOTE): If your carburetor guts, (Carb. Kit), are more than 3 or 4 years old, you might want to replace them while you have it apart.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

One more thing to try hold her on her side and loosten the fuel cap a little. A plugged vent may also cause your problem. HTH

SOURCE: while cutting the chainsaw bogs down and stops

Check the air filter and the muffler if either are plugged up it will not run smooth. Carb hi and low screws are very sensitive so if you change them, only move them a little at a time.

I have a 4218av , saw stalls when you open up throttle to cut wood, fairly new, has min hours on saw. Starts ok and runs at high idle ok

Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the carburetor is firmly mounted to the engine. Hope this helps!

I have a husqvarna 141, I can start it and it will fast idle. When i kick the high idle down it stalls.

Remember taht when you start to cut you need to pull back (towards you) the upper handle this will automate the full trigger for logging.

Idles fast, won't cut wood, stalls under load

Clean the fuel filter, air cleaner and muffler if clogged. Check all fuel lines for condition--replace any with original rubber lines--not plastic. The carburetor sounds like it could use a thorough cleaning and re-kit. It's somewhat common for saws to leak some bar oil over a long period. Good luck!
