I have a new Juki 8700-7H I switched the feed dogs, throat plate & presser foot to the light duty ones but Now the hand wheel is hard to turn & the stitch length won't adjust. What to do? Timing?

Take your presser foot off and the screws out of the plate. Lift the plate slightly and turn your stitch length regulator to the longest stitch that you use. Now set the plate back down on the feed dogs and see if it will sit evenly without binding. Loosen the feed dog screws and see if you can move the feed dogs enough to allow the plate to sit down. Now, retighten the feed dog screws and rotate the hand wheel towards you to see if they will move freely without binding on the plate. If all well, replace your plate screws and then rotate the hand wheel towards you again.

If this doesn't fix it, you may need to purchase a different # feed dog/plate. You might check to make sure that the items you purchased were meant for a Juki. Mostly they will fit different brands but sometimes it is easier to make sure that the combination of feed dog/plate is actually meant for your Juki.

The other thing you can do is to call a mechanic to readjust the machine to make these work (a more expensive option to be sure!). This has NOTHING to do with your timing. If your machine made good stitches before you change the feed dogs/plate. It should make good stitches after you change it. Timing is all to do with stitch formation and not stitch feeding. Good Luck!

Put new roll in printer and paper feeds through then goes back out again

The printer should accept print paper ready for feed commands when computer sends jobs with clicks. A paper feeder tray may be clogged, attempt to open compartments to ascertain for misaligned or adjusted entrapment areas. Paper feeder adjustments that are tightened least allows feeder processing while loosened paper feeder clips allows several print papers at a time. Select the appropriate adjustment for the papers. Second, printers that run out of ink display sensitive malfunctions either as inability to feed paper when available. Ascertain that printer ink is available.

CRA108: I can not set the time. I hold in the time button down while pushing the hour and/or minute button but nothing happens. The clock actual is displaying a time that is not proper. It currently...

My Coby CRA108 starting doing this after 6 months of use. Although I described the display as 1P:C8 since there is no key to properly display the character (hybrid of a G & C). I've left it unplugged and changed the backup battery with hopes it would reset. No luck so far. Anyone have success???

I have a lucent 18 d corded telephone system in my shop, i have tried numerous times to set current time & date. i follow all the instructions & it simply wont go into program mode. it used to work...

I'm guessing you didnt press the left hand intercom twice. Changing the time on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11. At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
next press the left hand intercom twice
the display should say system programming
enter in "#103"
the display should say system time and the current programmed time
enter the new time in 24 hour format
press feature "00" to logout

Ativa at-p3000 adding machine....no user manual or way to set ate and time

To set the time: Press the date/time button (next to the feed button) to make the time appear on the display. Then press and hold the "Time Set" button (the "=" button) until the first digit of the time setting begins to flash. Then just enter the current time with the keypad (3:30 is 0-3-3-0) and use the "AM-PM" key (the "x" button) to toggle am/pm. After you have the time entered, press and release the "Time Set" (=) again to set the new time.

To set the correct date: Press the date/time button (next to the feed button) to make the date appear on the display rather than the time. Then press and hold the "Time Set" button (the "=" button) until the first digit of the date begins to flash. Do the same as before to set the new date. Don't forget to press the Time Set button after you set the date or it will not record the change.

If for some reason you need to reset your calculator, turn it over and stick a pencil into the reset hole next to the battery compartment. That will reset everything.

Stitches don't feed properly

Remove the foot and the needle plate. Check the area where the stitches are formed to see if there are any rough edges on the plate or stitch finger. Sometimes you will find a crack in the plate that is hidden under the foot. While the foot is up, the gap closes but when it is lowered and fabric is trying to feed the crack opens and the rough edge won't allow it to advance.
