Control knob seems to have some play in it is this normal

Scanner is quite new and is working great just a bit concerned about control knob

SOURCE: 2005 toyota highlander - temp control knob not

Just repair a panel for one of these, They use a 3-wire ribon 1/8 space between wire. The one I fix had the two outer wire broke loose at the heat/cool switch it had become loose from the panel which gave it enought wiggle room which allowed the wires to break I fixed buy replace all three wire from the main panel to heat/cool switch. With all 3 wire be seperate. They should not break ago.

Blower motor goes off

The ecm controlled motors are know for ecm failure. They do not like high speed(T5 terminal connection). Normally when the ecm is acting up the blower will not work at all. But I've seen em run for a bit then quit. The motor probably needs a new ecm

Fender Deluxe. The volume knob has no effect whatsoever. Volume only changes with the drive knob.

Your amp has two channels - "normal" and "drive." When you are on the normal channel, the "volume" knob controls your gain. In the "drive" channel, the drive knob controls your gain. In both channels, the "master" knob limits how loud the amp will get.

Most likely, you are on the drive channel, so the volume knob will have no effect. Try pushing the "channel select" switch. You should notice the channel indicator lamp (next to the drive knob) turn off. When it is off, you are in the normal mode. Yellow = drive, and red = "more drive."

Experiment with different settings to get a variety of tones.

How many miles have you heard of being on a 3.0 liter eng? the reason I am asking is checking the end play on motor has very little and it seems to be a tight little motor. when i worked at chrysler seemed...

I have a Mitsubishi Montero with 280K on it with the 3.0 liter (only issue was valve guides, I had the heads rebuilt) My first Montero I had 248K on it before I sold it, ran great. My son has a Dodge Stealth with the 3.0 V6 in it. Again I removed the heads because of valve guides but after 120K miles the cylinders STILL had honing marks on them. They can be tough to service but they're a great engine, in my view.

Foot pedal FF or Rewinds when pressing Play

It's possible that there's a broken wire in the cable that connects the foot control to the machine. This usually happens near the plug that plugs into the machine, or by the end that goes into the foot control.

You can usually duplicate it if you put the auto-backspace up a bit and then hold down the play pedal on the foot control. While holding down the play pedal, try moving the cable near the machine or near the foot control in a circular motion. If the machine stops, rewinds or fast forwards, then odds are that the problem is with the cable.

Material pulling/shifting to one side

sounds like you're foot pressure is off, foot pressure and stitch length are the 2 main things that would cause "drifting" (they're also knobs that little hands could of moved) Also your little one quite possibly could of spun these knobs several times so keep that in mind while dialing your machine back to good health

install once again

try it out.

Clicking control knob

try checking the filter, its normally located behind the kick plate on the bottom of the machine, best to tip machine back when you unscrew filter though as there will be quite a bit of water in the pipes more often than not.
hope this helps.

ps if the dial is just clicking the red light will flash as well, count the flashes as this indicates a fault code. there will be about a second gap between flashes.
