Vizio 60" E601i-A3 smart LED 120hz 1080p BUI is not powering on after power surge. Any suggestions on how to repair, as it's being paid off still through Aarons, and pretty sure they won't cover damage like this.

Most probably the fuse 'T4A H / 250 V AC' on the power supply board or capacitor/s thereon would have gone off. Either you have to change those dead parts or replace the power supply board with a new one costing around $49.41

its not the problem of power supply board .as the sound is coming.the power supply is not faulty, only something is faulty in power supply board.some of the capacitors would be bulged up or may be slowly bursted in the power supply board .just get it changed by some technician .and also get it checked if any of the tracks on the circuit board is short ,if it is short .just get the tracks completed by the engineer.it will not be too costly.under $150.your power supply is perfect just the capacitor which supports the picture is blown.rate the solution.thanks.

You should check the fuse in the power supply module, that will be the first thing. You can look for new power supply on EBAY at such place as jimmypart.

SOURCE: avol ALT42FD120 - frame rate change 60-120hz?

Hi. It is entirely possible that the set is already running at 120Hz after all. The display 1080p 60Hz is merely the signal it is receiving and the earlier TV's that used to claim 100Hz/120Hz merely did so using line doubling only to give a clearer picture by filling in the blanks between scanlines. If your picture is already very clear, then I wouldn't worry about it

I have a Vizio E601i-A3. The "Vizio" emblem does not light up and the screen does not light up. Is it most likely power board that needs to be replaced?

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Vizio intermittent backlight

You have to check the power supply of the tv. Normally led TVs power suppy is integrated with the led driver. If the led driver is faulty then this type of problems can occur.

Connect Dell Inspiron 6400 to VIZIO E601i-A3 60-inch 1080p LED HDTV using VGA Connector

When you connect the vizio try changing the resolution settings on your laptop to see if that makes a difference. Could be that your video card output is not really compatible with the higher requirements of the Vizio.
