Question about Lexmark Wheelwriter 15 Series II Typewriter
I NEED TO ADJUST THE PRESSURE ON MY KEY STRIKER, NOT HITTING HARD ENOUGH. THE LETTERS ARE NOT COMING THROUGH CLEARLY, AND I PUT IN A NEW INK RIBBON AND CORRECTION RIBBON. IF I PUT THEM ON BOLD IT HELPS BUT IT STILL ISN'T MAKING CLEAR THICK BLACK LETTERS. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED
Sounds like the print solenoid is gummy. Remove ribbon &L/O tape, just inside L. printer sise frame below ribbib deck is the round round solenoid that drives the print hammer, see if you can get a bit of lubrication (WD40 works well) on the plunger especially the end to the rear of the machine.

Try taking the ribbon out and looking at it see if there is one spot for each character on the ribbon or if they are overlapping.If they are over lapping then either you have a problem with the ribbon drive assembly on the machine or it is set for a multi-strike ribbon.
