I print two A4 pages duplex and this works fine. But then the reverse side prints out on a second page on both sides. This only happens from tray 2, but I don't know how to prevent this second page from printing. It wouldn't normally be a problem but it is letter-headed paper and is a waste of resources. I need to know how to change the settings to prevent this second page printing and any help would be appreciated.

when you go to the menu of the printer is the paper TYPE set correctly? tray 2 should be letter ( if using plain paper) tray 3 legal, label etc... and tray 1 should be any

Are the print jobs being sent to printer all the same page size?
Are they all print jobs sent letter page size and your printers cassettes are set for A4 or something?
Your printer is asking for letter size paper, because any paper it has is not set to letter and document that it is trying to print has been sent as that size.
Check what options you have on print driver on pc as far as Tray defaults, paper type and size settings
Check printer settings via its keypad as to tray defaults, paper size set for each tray and paper type, some printers have paper size switchs on their trays too.

Ok.... I have these printers at work...and i think i have figured this one out :
Under setup menu , goto configure mp , then switch the settings from cassette to manual. You see these printers are used at Hotels where the bottom tray is for legal size paper used to make key packets and the mp is used for regular sized paper printing reciepts....Hilton family hotels use them for example....the next thing I'm trying to figure out is how to set it so I won't have to push the go button every time I print something

Try running couple of these test, to see if it might be another issue.
It should be printing these test at 1500 Line Per Minute... ?
1500LPM is at 10CPI if you have (Font size: 6, 8, 12, 14) it will make a difference.
Change your driver to Generic/Text, rerun your report... any difference?

Continuous forms paper fed through the front of the
printer also uses either the Front Push, Rear Pull, or Push-Pull
tractor configurations. Make sure this is set correctly or it
will reverse your margins.
It could also be your software. When you print through windows it's using the Microsoft system font controller, but your software could be setting font, margins, and alignment by the settings in the printer not in the driver. So if the first doesn't work, set your system back to align left then go into the printer configuration menu on the device and adjust the margins there.
