Question about GoVideo Cinevision RV4000

Cinevision DVD Recorder/VCR does not record.

I have a Cinevision RV4000 DVD Recorder/VCR and am unable to record a DVD from the TV and/or VCR. When I put a new DVD R or DVD RW IN...the error message is NO DISK. When I put in a DVD movie it plays find. Can anyone help? I can not get a hold of the manufacture. It is only 8 months old.

Use a DVD +R disk not a DVD -R disk.

Unable to access all TV channels from my cable box
  1. You can only tune in to your cable channels on Channel 3 and you may have to use the remote for your cable box to select program channels.
Viewing resolution is poor in dim movie/TV scenes
  1. Apart from the RCA connections, try to disconnect any other video output cable from the connectors (e.g. S-Video) on the DVD player; or/and
  2. If there are other RCA inputs on the TV, you may try to connect the video and audio output to them.
Remote does not work
  1. Make sure no objects obstruct the line of sight between the remote and player.
  2. The remote may need new batteries.
Cannot enter menu selection
  1. Use the arrow keys to select option and then activate by pressing the Enter key.

Can't record DVD's

Hello there.

As per
you can see that your DVD player only supports writing to DVD+R
or DVD+RW, not DVD-RW or DVD-R.

Unable to set TV channels on dvd recorder since connected to Sky box

Actually you don't have to get other devices, Just cables, take the sky box output and connect to AV input of DVR

Connect DVD recorder to Video player/recorder- transfer VHStodisc

hook the video output from vcr to dvd input at rear, then hook output from dvd to tv input. note; you can not record protected vcr movies you can only record tv shows from sattelite to vcr or dvd recorder. its best to record straight from sattelite to dvd recorder for picture clarity.

DVD is updating after recording and won't stop.

what i do is pull the power supply cord and unit resets self

i suspect heat and dust build up is part of the problem

The RV4000 requires DVD+R disks... DVD-R won't work

Unable to connect philips dvd recorder/vcr recorder to philips flat screen 19pfl4322 tv. HAVE AV 1 AND AV2 ON FLAT SCREEN TV BUT RECORDER WILL NOT GIVE MENU PICTURE. COAXIAL CABLE ATTACHED TO VCR AHD...

make sure that av 1 out on the dvd go into av1 in on the screen and av2out goes to av2in onto the screen.make sure the cable is not av on the tv remote till you find it. same with the vcr remote
