Line up all the timing marks at front pulley mark the pump at slotted adjuster holes with a centre punch remove cover plates and line up marks on the gears undo the pump bolts and remove pump.
sounds like your clutch is going out, is it hard to put in gear with clutch all the way depressed? could also be the sinkronyzer going out, could be the gears in the transmission also going bad. need to check the fluid in the transmission.
Hi, do you know if it is a single rail or 3 rail box? The single rail has the gearlever coming out of the tail housing ( and the reverse spring below the lever on the l/h/side sometimes replaced by the reverse light switch) the 3 rail box has an extension housing holding the gear lever, bolted on with 4 studs to the gearbox. this has a detent on the gearbox top plate.
You need to remove top off gearbox and with a pry bar or screw driver pull the selector back into neutral Your gearlever has popped out of selector Gearbox does not need to be removed
