If you have normal heat on Auto cycle, I have seen a few times that these new dryers channel the heat circuit separately through the timer for auto and timed cycle's. This isn't normal but you have a bad timer. But for any other readers this isn't a common problem generally the timer use's the same heat contact for auto and timed cycles, this is the exception.

i am sending you all the possibilities for your problem, check either of these causes ----and than let me know if it is solved----
Power from the house
Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.
Heating element
Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.
Thermal fuse
On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)
Wiring
A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

You may have a bad heating element, unplug the dryer. you need a 1/4 in socket driver to take off the back panel this will give you access to the guts.If your handy you can buy a new one and replace it.Tell me if you need more help.
Hope this helped.Let me know by rating me.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you have already tried cleaning the vent then the problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

there are several things to look at. using a multi meter, check the moister sensor inside the tub along the door? if it reads wrong or sends wrong signal the heat will prematurely turn off? check the hi limit and the thermal cut off fuse or thermostats. as they have to do with temperature control, lastly u may indeed have a bad motor windings problem causing it to shut down early thus no heat, and also check for full voltage from the outlet 220 and not just 110? as that will be enough to run the motor but not the heat cycle which uses 220 however if ur getting some heat I doubt its a voltage peroblem
Hello - Typically error code AD indicates that the Auto Dry option has been selected. Using no heat in any Auto Dry cycle will result in long drying times and/or wet loads at the end of cycle. I would suggest selecting other option or resetting the unit. You may either unplug it or flip the household breaker off for approximately two minutes. Restart unit, select a normal cycle and verify if it will heat. If the dryer does not heat the unit it could possibly have a faulty heating element, blower assembly or a communication problem with the control panel. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.
