Try a different outlet, maybe the ground fault interrupter tripped on the circuit.

Try Platt Electrical supply - 800-257-5288 (Platt.com) BLACK & DECKER #89754-01 REPLACEMENT BRUSH. It seems the entire motor head was manufactured by DeWalt and is now obsolete. I don't know if these brushes will fit, but someone there may help.

It is possible that the ON/OFF switch is bad or the wires that connect to the switch are loose and are not making permanent contact. Check the switch.

I've had the same problem at work with troybuilt leafblowers. It eventually turns off as you use it yeah? It could be a little flooded and the engine isn't getting enought air. Find out where the carbeurator is, take it off, dump out the excess fuel, and spray out with WD-40 or carb and choke cleaner, make sure there's not a lot of excess fluid left and then try it. I've seen and old guy try it on a lawnmover I had that kept doing the same thing, and it fixed it just like "that".
