Question about Kodak EasyShare C315 Digital Camera

Easyshare camera doesn't work

The camera stopped working. I changed batteries and double checked to see that they were in correctly. they were. I bought some new batteries thinking that maybe I just had a bad pack of batteries. Still no luck. The telescoping lens is out and no matter what I do, the red light comes on in the front of the camera.

Re: easyshare camera doesn't work

I have the same the problem other people with this same problem on another kodak 'grumble' messageboard. Someone resolved the issue by using only the kodak batteries. I will go look for some.

It doesn't power on

Your camera can be defected. If you buy new batteries, and it still doesn't work, than you'll probably want to send it back to the manufacturer. First, call them and tell them your problem, and if that doesn't work, than you might want to carefully examine your camera, to check if everything is in the correct place, and their all working correctly.

Fujifilm battery fully charged but camera says no charge or very little. Just bought a new Duracell Battery and Charger for my Fuji FinePix J10 Camera. Used the charge on the battery in the camera from...

Well you mentioned that it worked fine yesterday with the battery out of the box. That should tell you that the camera and the battery are both fine. The issue is likely the charger itself. Try recharging it again, and double check that you inserted the batteries correctly, and that any switches (such as for 2 or 4 battery charge) are set in the correct position on the charger. If this doesn't work, take the charger back to the store for exchange/refund as defective.

My Kodak EasyShare C813 camera no longer powers on. Replaced the batteries. Double-checked the connections inside and appear to be fine. Any suggestions to further troubleshoot? Thank you, Green Bay

Have you tried changing the brand of battery? I find mine is incredibly finicky about what make of battery it will accept, especially as it gets older and the contacts on the battery-door lose their springiness. It's to do with the shape of the contact on the minus end of the battery. It will work with B&Q batteries because they have a wide, flat, slightly raised metal cap on the minus end, but it won't work with e.g. Eveready because their minus end doesn't stand up as high and has grooves running round it, which cause the battery-door contact not to - not to make contact, that is.

Even if you're using a classy rechargeable battery, if the minus end doesn't stick up a bit it may not work once the battery door's got a bit worn.

I put brand new double AA batteries into my camera and it still is not turning on , how do i get the camera to work?

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

I have a kodak easyshare c533 camera and it won't turn on. I tried new batteries but all it does is flash the green light. Any ways to fix this?

Green light flashed, turned red, lens would not open. Put in new rechargeable batteries, still nothing. Someone here suggested to try regular AA cheapie batteries. IT WORKED!

Zoom wont work

double-check the battery first, as zoom needs more power.

if battery is ok then there is possibility of loose connection/ dry solder inside or some component gone faulty.
contact your vendor or kodak support if still in warranty.

Kodak easyshare C530

the problem is with the power - the lens being stuck out is a side effect

if there's enough/right power - the lens would retract if you shut if off. it shuts back off by itself that's why it won't retract and power is not sufficient for the lens lens to go back in

if your getting a red light, that means it's not totally dead
are you using alkalines?
the response of the cam towards an alkaline batt is very upredictable, sometimes it would take 30 pics, 10, 2, sometimes it won't even come on, just a blinking light

please use lithium batteries or ni-mh

if you are already usign a new set of lithium and it's doing the same thing, please arrange repair through
