Noise on the video out of the ATI ALL-IN-WONDER X600 PRO

and on windows there is greensh/redesh lines on the screen fine lines but noticable.

Do you have any Idea why and how to fix it.

That si strange even ATI support said the same thing, But my logic is even If I don't have a hard drive and jusy boot with a bootable disk there is distortion in the video asif the characters are missing pixels left and right.

I don't think it is the driver or has anything to do with the driver.

I am almost 99% that it is the card is gone bad or going bad.

But just wondering if anybody had the same experience and had a solution like update the firmware of the card replace a certain chip something like that.

Thanks for trying to help me anyway

it was a good shot Just like the experts from ATI

AMD's DirectX 9 ATI Radeon graphics accelerators are not officially supported under Windows 7. But you can install ATI Catalyst Windows Vista graphics driver under Windows 7. Some features may not be available under windows 7 but it would be worth a try.

Try restarting the pc in safe mode by tapping the F8 key while re-booting the computer. If the lines are gone it is the display driver.

Hp pavilion zd8000 ati mobility radeon x600 128 mb

A bit late over a year has passed.........

I have a smilar problem, with the ATI enabled the laptop black screens on startup.
If you disable the ATI x600 in Device Manager (using safe mode) the laptop works fine as the ATI is not being used.

Solution is to replace the ATI x600, which unfortunately is a specialist job as this is soldered directly onto the motherboard. Or replace the motherboard.

I have located a company in Manchester (called CRM) that repairs HP computers, and they can repair/replace the ATI for around £175, or replace the motherboard for about £250. Replacing the board gives you a 12months warranty. add VAT to those figures. There phone number is 01618881232, I have found them to be very helpful.

The sims two

There is a little more that you need to do. You haven't supplied what motherboard your using. That is very important, need to know info. So now I have to guess. Update windows. You must have .Net framwork ver2.0. Do not skip other .Netframworks like ver1.0 or 1.1. Go to this link & download DirectX 9.C. :
Uninstall any software you installed through Control Panel. If it fail to uninstall. Download and run ATI cat uninstaller. at this link:
Shut down your PC. Remove the PCIE card & reat it.
Enter your BIOS at boot-up. Make sure the Video section is set to PCI-E card. Save & exit. After windows finishes starting up download your lasted drivers & CCC = Catalyst Software Suite
ver7.12 : If using dual monitore set up within the Catalyst Controll Center
