Question about Keurig B60 Coffee Maker

1 Answer

B60 is not operating properly

When I try to brew a cup, the water comes out the vent back into the water reservoir, and doesn't seem to finish it's cycle. Sometimes just starts brewing long after you pushed the cup slection. Water will come out of both the brew basket and the vent.

I have the same problem. I have had the machine for a couple of years and it just started doing this.

Our Keurig seems to choose its own brewing cup size. We have had ourmachine for 10 months, cleaned it as supposed to, etc, but it has been randomly making only small cups or only large cups when all cup sizes are available. Then, the next time it will only display large cups-? Don't have a clue what is wrong as we have checked and rechecked all the troubleshooting topics. Love the coffee but don't want to spend another 100 bucks on a replacement.

My machine makes the noise like it will start brewing, but then after a little dribble into the cup, it stops -- but the screen still says brewing. After about a minute, it will start putting more coffee into the cup, but also water back into the reservoir. The cup of coffee will be about half of what I expect (pressing largest of 3 buttons offered on my machine) so I assume the other half of the water that should be coming out is going back into the tank.

Funny thing is, when we first got the machine less than 4 months ago, it filled the cups all about the same no matter which button you pushed. It seemed to stop that for no apparent reason, but now it'd doing that again -- just taking forever to fill the cup to the low level it does fill them.

    Annoying!!!!

I called the service number, and they said they will give my info to someone when the weekend is over.

Mine did the same thing. I called Keurig, and they sent a new one right out.

unit sometimes leaks cool water during the brewing cycle. Small pool of water around the base extending out an inch or two.

No water is coming out, but when I hit the brew button the water gurgles like it's trying to work.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the pressure safety kicking in. The bottom hole didn't punch through on the K-cup. Check to make sure that is not the problem.

Keurig b60 won't dispense water

Your b60 may need to be descaled. There might be scale built up on the water level probes in you machine. I have listed the directions below:

Brewer De-Scaling Instructions
Brewer Model: Elite B40 ' Classic B44
Special Edition B60 ' Platinum B70
To begin, you will need the following:
• 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar
• Large ceramic mug (do not use a paper cup)
• Access to an empty sink
PREPARE
Step 1:
Empty the water in the Water Reservoir.
Step 2:
Disable "Auto Off features."
FILL AND CLEAN
Step 1:
Pour approximately 48 ounces of the vinegar
into the Water Reservoir.
Step 2:
Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and run a brew cycle.

DO NOT USE A K-CUP
, just press the BREW Button. Pour the contents of

the large mug into the sink.
Step 3:
Repeat the brew process without a K-Cup until"ADD WATER"

is indicated.
Step 4:
Now let the Brewer stand for at least 4 hours while still on.

Step 5:
Discard any residual vinegar and rinse the
Water Reservoir thoroughly.
RINSE
Step 1:
Ensure the Water Reservoir is filled with fresh water.

Step 2:
Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and
water brew cycle. Pour the contents of the
large mug into the sink.
Step 3:
Repeat brew process until "ADD WATER is indicated.

Step 4:
You may need to perform additional water brew
cycles if you notice any residual taste.
NOTE:
If "DE-SCALE" is still displayed after
completing the procedure, repeat the
descaling procedure above.

I can't get a full cup of coffee. I've descaled my machine and it still doesn't work properly. Any other suggestions?

If your brewer is not brewing the full amount selected, it may be caused by the following:
  • The exit needle is clogged by coffee grounds or cocoa mix. Please refer to the K-Cup Holder cleaning instructions.
  • The brewer may need to be de-scaled. Please refer to the de-scaling instructions.
  • The removable water reservoir was removed during brewing. Place the water reservoir back onto the brewer and perform a cleansing brew without a K-Cup.

Keurig b60 wont brew

The water reservoir tank probably isn't seated properly. Try wiggling the tank a bit and if that doesn't do the trick, completely remove the water reservoir and then replace it. Once it's seated properly, it should start drawing water and brew as designed. This seems to be a design flaw with this particular model, so periodic adjusting of the water reservoir may be necessary to ensure it is seated properly if your problem persists. Hope that helps! Best of luck...

This morning my Keurig sounds like it begins to pull water then stops. I tried to cut it off then back on. Still didn't work.Removed water from reservoir and K-cup and added pure vinegar. Ran machine several times without filter or Kcup by pressing cup selector several times. You must open K-cup holder and close each time. I had to do this about a dozen times before the water began to draw again. Flushed system by filling water reservoir with fresh water, and brewed just plain water until vinegar was gone.Works like brand new.
