My quite new Hamilton Beach microwave model # P100N30ALS3B has power but will not operate. We returned after a brief power outage and are unable to make it work at all. Cannot set clock or function.

Insure that the breaker has not tripped.

Disconnect the power cord, and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Reconnect the power cord and test.

Justasked - this is apparently a repeat... Hamilton Beach Microwa ve oven P100N30ALS3B Oven won't heat cerial, frozen fruit, make coffee real hot.

You will need to replace the oven, to repair it would cost as much as a new replacement.

There is usually a button above the timer buttons labelled POWER. It will set 10 (100%) another press, 9(90%), then 8(80%), etc.

Hit power level button then number 1 through 10. Most have 10 power levels. 1 is extremely low. 3 is usually defrost, 5 would be half power and so on.

I have a Kenmore, but you can try this: when you're about to cook, put the time in, then press the power button. Put the power level in, then press start.

I believe all you need to do is first press the 'Power Level' button, then select a number on the keypad between 1 and 100 (where 100 is full power, 50 is half power, etc), then Press 'Time Cook' and enter the number of minutes and seconds as usual. I'd suggest testing on a cup of water so you don't risk overheating anything. And never run a microwave completely empty.
