If you are having a white line in the middle of the screen and sound it an indication that you have blown the vertical deflection amplifier. Don not switch on the TV till you get it fixed as you can damage the picture tube in the central area permanently. It is a 11 lead IC mounted on an a aluminum heat sink. Will cost you about less than 10$ plus labor to replace.
My indash TV DVD is not working proper. DVD player will not play DVD and the CD player has trouble reading some CD'S. I live in La Puente California is there anywhere near by to get it fixed?
All white LCD screen normally means bad LCD PCB driver. Check to see if your system board is still sending 3.3 volts to the LCD, if not, repair typically involves replacing a few transistors and a zener diode. This worked for me and cost about $8.50.
If this may seem to "hands on" for you, you can always try to have someone fix it.... But it may end up costing more than its worth.
try reentering the code. if not the screen whent out. i bought one of thees screens. and had to return it more than 4 times the screen whent out . cd player didnt work .ect.....ect...
Unplug the unit - look underneath disc tray for an oblong shaped hole with another pinhole or plastic white piece down inside - use screwdriver to move the white piece to other side of oblong - disc should eject. Then try plugging dvd player in and try again.
On the DVD Player, there maybe somewhere where you can change the output to the television (Scart) from RGB to Component or Composite-mode.
RGB causes some displays which cannot handle the RGB signals to black and white.
I hope this fixes your problem.
Finally, some TVs designed for PAL cannot handle NTSC discs played through them. It causes the display to also go Black and White. If this is the case there is nothing you can do except change the display/TV.
Yes, it is an expensive fix. You can try asking Best Buy if they can repair the unit if it is still under warranty, or what it will cost to have it repaired by the Insignia people.
If the player still works, you can try using it as a set-top unit and connect it to another monitor through the A/V outs.
