Same problem I guess. Script errors, but the camera works, other than having to acknowledge every script error. Can't upgrade the firmware because the WEO SETUP Utility ver. 5.08 doesn't see it. But I can log into it etc. Been at this for 6 months on and off, and I am the IP CAM / I.T. guy at work. Veo has no website anymore. I can't even tell what version of firmware this has...sigh..

I found the solution...lol... you have to disable the firewall in windows first to get the camera software to recognize it, and then allow port 1600 to be open...but now i use the netcam watcher pro software and dont have any of these issues anymore..

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Hold the power button down for 6 seconds, this sets the Observer to factory default of user: "admin" and pass: "password" without the quotes of course.

VeoNetwork Web cam

You can view your Veo Observer web cam at home by either of two methods. The first is to use the Observer Studio software that came with the camera. When you configured the camera, you selected a local (private) IP address for each Veo Observer, and set the address specific to each camera. You then put the same IP address into your Observer Studio Software.

Depending on the brand of router you use on your home network, your Veo Observer camera probably has a local (private) IP address in the format 192.168.0.xxx or 192.168.1.xxx where "xxx" is the actual address assigned to your Veo Observer (by you) and configured to display on the LCD window on the side of the Veo Observer.

You may need to log into your router to see which of the two local (private) IP address formats is used. Your router's user manual will show you how.

To view your Veo Observer, just type the exact local (private) IP address in your IE browser. for example, if you assigned address 100 to your cam, you would enter http://192.168.0.100 or 192.168.1.100 into your browser. Veo Observer will display the Language selection screen. Choose the language, then you log in and view your camera.

To view your camera from outside your home using another computer, you use the same method, but you have to substitute your WAN (public) IP address.

You can log into your router and select its STATUS tab to view your WAN (public) IP address. See you router's set up guide if you do not know how to do this.

An easier way to determine your WAN (public) IP address is to visit Gibson Research Shields Up! web page:

https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

and scroll down to the last paragraph where you will find your WAN (public) IP address.

For example, if this address is 123.456.789.100, then you would enter http://123.456.789.100 on your IE browser. You should see the Language select screen, choose your language, then log in and you are now viewing your Veo Observer from outside your home.

Note: when you view your Veo Observer at home, you probably have a fast frame rate and smooth video motion. When you view your Veo Observer from outside the home, the frame rate is certain to be less, and your moving image quality will be choppy. This is normal, as viewing from outside the home is less efficient and the image suffers. There is nothing you can do to boost the frame rate.

Wep key for veo network camera

Your wireless access point or router is using WPA encryption. The VEO can only handle WEP encryption and its likely to be a hardware limitation - I doubt a firmware upgrade would appear for this. One solution is to change your network to WEP or open. Another is if you are running OpenWRT on you access point or router, you could possibly set up a virtual wireless LAN for your camera(s) using WEP while maintaining  your WPA set up for other wireless clients.

Make sure that you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. If you are experiencing problems, try upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer from the Microsoft webpage at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie Method A: 1) Go to C:\Program Files\Veo Observer Studio and delete the files: xrlknc.dll and xrlkncd.dll. 2) After the files have been deleted, try using the Veo Observer Studio again. --or-- Method B: 1) Uninstall the Veo Observer Studio from your computer. 2) Download the latest version of the Veo Observer Studio from our webpage at: http://www.veo.com/Observer/firmware.asp if it still has the same promblem refer to your display or the grafix recommendations

Oh dear!,Wireless is a pain, could be your firmare needs upgrading if it isn't already,(this is from 2003) you can download it here http://www.veo.com/Observer-Wireless/firmware.asp If not check it's ip address is showing up in the router. Also there may be interference from other appliances or walls and objects; causing it to loose it's wireless connection.
