Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
My oven worked fine this morning and now this afternoon started making a loud buzzing noise and does not heat. It's about 1 year old.
It is the magnetron and it's being replaced tomorrow. Thanks for your help!!

If it's less than a year old, it's still under warranty. If it's just over a year old, GE will still cover parts, but you'd have to pay for labor.

The most likely causes are a shorted high-voltage diode or a bad magnetron.
