Sound cuts out after a few minutes of operation

System sound cuts out after a few minutes of operation. This happens whether TV sound is on (coming from Cable box on composite cables) or on FM Tuner. The unit does not feel hot and has 6 inches of clearance on top, and sides. Any idea what I can do?

Re: Sound cuts out after a few minutes of operation

I blew the tweeter in my jbl stadium floor standing speaker. I would like to know how to remove the cover in order to replace the tweeter. I already purchased the tweeter and it is on the way. I don't want to damage anything in my attempt to remove it.

I have Panasonic SC-HTB500 Sound bar, It is not power on. When i Press power on is come little realy switch click, and again click.l checked inside not any thing i can see,

Unplug it from its power source - whether it plugs directly into a wall outlet or into a power outlet on another component (TV, amplifier, etc.) Simply wait 2-3 minutes and plug it back in. Sometimes, electronic units just get "stuck" and will recycle if unplugged for a while, then plugged in again. This happens with TiVo every year or so. If that doesn't work, I don't know unless you want to contact Panasonic. Is there a reset button on the unit. If so, try that.

I'm having the same problem. I don't think it has anything to do with the Sleep settings, you can play with them all day & the only benefit you may get is forcing it to stay on for 90 min or whatever instead of 15.
(I've tried setting to 00, obviously the first thing that comes to mind is that it's a Sleep Setting issue, but I seriously doubt this. You can't even set the Sleep Setting to 15min anyway)

Instead, I'm pretty sure that the problem exists in the sound bar not recognizing that there is an active signal & is shutting off due to what it sees as inactivity (timing out after use). I've come to this conclusion due to multiple complaints of the same problem.

Some people are reporting that it's not happening when they watch movies, others have tested & said the radio stays on as long as you like, a couple people have posted that theirs works fine & only shuts off when they turn off about 15 minutes after they shut off the audio source, which leads me to think that this is what is going on, the system thinks the audio source (TV, Bluray, etc) is off & no sound is coming through. It must have a funny way of detecting it...

I will try a few tests & if anything works I will pay the results. One person claimed there's stayed on after turning their TV all the way up... I could try this but will have to turn TV speakers off (currently I am running both TV speakers & sound bar). Anyway, I'll keep digging, must be some way to get this to work, I hope...

Hello, pls my system if is playing the sound would cut off and pickup after some minutes while the counter on the cd player is counting which indicates that is playing but no sound, when is like this i...

When the sound cuts off just hit the side of your main system with your fist. Do it with the radio playing or the CD will skip and get damaged ( Remove all the CDs from the system ). If the sound comes back when you hit the system, there is a dry soldering in your system for which you will have to take professional help. Please check if the Fan at the back is working. Dry soldering occurs because the system is running very hot. Poor ventilation or Fan failure.

try cleaning all your connections for your speakers with isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip, if no luck it could be an internal problem

5.1 Surround Sound Cutting Out

Yes you are right man, this problem occurs only with the cable problem, i can explain you, if there is a receiver problem means you won't get the sound its dam sure,
only if there is a cable problem you will get some noise or sound cut off with the speakers, so you please check the cables properly it will be alright.

TV sound only thru front and sub woofer speakers only

this might be happening because the audio format for surround is not supported by the channel or affiliate of the channel that you are viewing does this happen on all tv channels or is it on just a few? if all sound while playing a dvd is proper and in working order than there must be an issue with the sound and or format of sound from the tv source. maybe more information would help me decipher this

anyways hope it helps

Audio and Video cutout

it sounds like you gonna break the unit eventually:) now seriously, when a problem can be handled by activating physical force, it is probobly related to loose conections or wiring. if you wanna fix it yourself, take it apart and start loking for those kind of things.
