I have a 1987 Honda 350 trx foreman. When you turn the key it makes a clicking sound and will start. When you turn key and NO clicking sound it won't start. What causes the clicking sound to make it start. I tried CDI, that didn't help.

sounds like the petcock is clogged or broken. runs off fuel in the bowl till it runs out. then after a while it gets refilled slowly and repeats.

Does the clicking sound you hear sound like the fuel pump pressurizing the fuel line? I am not sure if the TRX has a built in regulator on the fuel pump, or if it is separate, but it sounds like either the regulator or the pump, you can pick up most fuel pumps for ATV's on amazon for 20 to 30 bucks, I would try that.

Repeat the process with a manual. Sounds like shaft not engaged.

fit a new battery ,and disconnect the battery when its not being used
