It wouldn't print in black even though the cartridge was new. When I tried a nozzle check it printed every colour but black, I cleaned the heads but nothing.

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer
cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you
printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where
the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer
turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document
again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print
cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues
with your model:
From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks.
Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through to clean the print
cartridge nozzles.
After printing the test page, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

The 100/100XL cartridges are not licensed to be refilled. You can, however, refill the 100A or 100XLA cartridges available on the Lexmark website at http://www.lexmark.com. You should be aware that a refilled cartridge will not be able to report its ink level, and you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark to pass through microscopic nozzles at extremely high temperatures.

Black cartridge is new. Place of cartridge is defect !
I try to put black cartridge in place of color and his work.
My color and black printer cartridges are new, but the output is a page with very little print on it. It's as though something is blocking the area between the cartridge and the paper that's being printed.
I've replaced and cleaned the cartridges.
My printer is not reading the new color cartridge. Every time I try to print, it reads color cartidge is missing.
yes, i installed both new cartridges
I just changed black cartridge, but it won't print in black. If I copy and press color copy the black prints. I cant print anything from computer in black.
