I too have 2 CD's jammed in my Bose wave radio. I've removed the cover and can see the 2 CD's and have tried gently to pull on them but I am afraid of breaking small pieces. Is there a way to release them? Will pulling them out likely break something?

My 3 yo son put a cd in when there was already one in the player.   When I hit the eject button I get a rattling noise and no cd.  They are jammed in there and I'm not sure what to do now.

I was excited to see someone had this problem when I was looking for a solution to the 2 CDs which my 3 yr old had jammed into my Wave system ... I was then dismayed to see there was no solution. So I persevered and succeeded!
I lifted off the top cover by removing the 5 screws underneath. I could then see into the "jaws" of the CD slot and after listening/watching the thing struggling to eject (clicking and grinding) a couple of times, I simply tried getting hold of the leading edge of the CD's at the same time as it was trying to eject and they slid out quite easily. It will only work if the ejector is trying at the same time as you pull.
Everything seems to work again ... until the next time!

Why does my bose wave radio turns itself off every twenty minutes?

I am not sure how to fix your radio; but my wave radio wasn't working and I took it into a Bose store and got an excellent trade in for a new one. I traded a wave radio without a CD player for a new Wave radio with a CD player. I would take your radio into the nearest Bose store.

The cd player is not reading the discs. The read out flashes and blinks but it does not read the music off the disc.

Try removing the cover and clean glass laser eye lens with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab. If cleaning doesn't work, then laser lens circuit will need to be tested and replaced. You can use an ohmmeter to test the capacitors and circuit.

Cd player is skippping - I have cleaned the cds. still skipping. It is a bose wave radio single cd player.

Hello my friend,
I suggest to test with many different CDs, if it's still skipping in all CDs. i will say that it's a lens issue, in this case you buy some CD cleaner which has some special lotion which clean the lens. but if this doesn't help also, at this time i will say that the lens needs to be replaced and i hope that you device is still under warranty because the repair will be free for you.
Best Regards,

I gave the Bose Wave Radio and 3-cd player to a friend for

Unplug and plug back in. It should go through a automatic process, ejecting any discs that are inside. If all you hear is a mechanical noise, try this again only with the disc trays facing the ceiling.

Bose does not release their parts lists or schematics, effectively creating a monopoly for parts and repairs. In fact, their web site says that the Bose factory is the only option for service or repair. They used to list a flat rate repair charge on the web site, but removed it - probably because it scared too many people. Their troubleshooting guide (below) might help, but it's very simplistic.

Before you invest in expensive factory repair on one of these trouble prone sets, you might want to investigate the new HD radios -- better sound at a MUCH lower price.
