The coffeemaker will grind whole beans and brew it just fine, but it won't brew coffee that's already ground. This just started recently. Any ideas?

Stuck? how stuck can it be when it is supposed to be removable? Try turn ing it,

I have had the same problem the only way I could get it to brew would to use the program quantity feature every time. I was going to take it in today and decided to restore the factory settings and now its working like it should. This seems to be a circuit board issue Ouch! I have another issue with the steam, if I take the knob off it works if I don't it doesn't glad I bought a 2K model GRRRRR!

try cleaning the grind chute again. if problem persists:
this is a cronic problem with the DGB900BC even after cleaning. the problem is the gate or trap to the grounds needs to open/remain open during grinding or all backs up and jams. my unit opens the door (correctly) during the rotation but closes just before grinding (over-rotation?). Cuisinart is not aware of this problem (800-726-0190). please call them; i just have.

The usual problem is the grind is too fine. Try turning the large knob in the bean hopper to the max 16 and turning the small knob to the minus (-). If it works turn the large knob down (only when it is grinding can you turn to a smaller #) but higher than you had before the trouble.

The notches should be at 10 and 12 approx. If the noise is a clicking sound you have a broken brew drive, and the gears have to be replaced. The brew unit can't compress whole beans and something has to give.
There are to triangles on the front of the brew unit at the round hole where it piviots. They need to be pointing at each other, if the 2 notches are in the correct position, its ready to install
