Will not turn on

I had DVD in a Panasonic DVD unit, using its remote instead of the Hitachi Ultravision, because it was already on and set for DVD playback. I accidently hit wrong button in attempting to start playback on the DVD, and the instant I hit the Panasonic remote button, the Ultravision shut off, and now regardless of what I do, I cannot get even a power light on on the Hitachi. I have switched outlets, tried to switch unit on from both button on set and the remote, still nothing. No lights. Nothing.
