Water not going into dishwasher. We turned off the water temporarily because we first had a leak. Fixed the leak and tried the dishwasher. It would not drain, the garbage disposer was clogged. We put in a new garbage disposer, hooked up the water again to the dishwasher and now the water will not go into dishwasher. Help!

Is the drain attached directly to the side of the disposal? If so, you didnt take the "knock out" out. Where the drain goes for the washing, there is a block in case the house does not have a washing machine. U need to knock this out with a screwdriver and whatever (plyers or hammer). Not tough to do. Good luck
