Free repair manual for projection tv

Need to dissassemble tv to look at capacitors. Need manual with good illustrations and test points....

I tried that. I was able to purchase a "service manual" that told how to set up the tv and find the secret codes. The manual did not contain enough information to actually troubleshoot. The tv is a Mitsubishi WD-52525. According to you and the other web sites this tv has problems...

My hd philips has pink ghost can this be addjusted

The listed manual is the one I purchased. I managed to get to the power supply. I was not being forceful enough to make the chassis move after I had removed the screws. The 4 each 1000µF and the 2 each 3300µf capacitors are bulging, just like everyone was saying.

Thank you for your response.

You will probably need the manual specific to your model of projection TV, since they use different boards/components.
Google for service manual for the particular model with which you are interested.

    Try this link:

    It will cost $4.95 though.

I wish there were an archive (for free) of most service/users manuals out there. If you google enough for it, you might get lucky.

Our HD52W59 HDTV comes on but slowly fades away to an all black screen. Audio is good but no picture. What is wrong?

I should be able to help you. First and very important. Do not keep trying to turn the tv on. If the hold down capacitor has broken free you could damage one of the picture tubes. This should be an ITC222 chassis and is a very good set. What needs to be done is several connections and a few parts need to be repaired on the deflection panel. This is the board on the left hand side when rear cover is removed. You need test equipment and soldering/desoldering equipment to do this repair. If you have those things I can help you through the procedure. If not, most tv repair shops can do this repair for between 175-325 for all parts and labor. If it is repaired properly, this set can easily have a 20 year total lifespan so in most cases people decide to repair them. Good luck, Russmann.

Picture went on Apex GB4308 Rear Projection

For that type of problem you will probably want to call a local tv repair shop and set up a service call. Average price is 60-80 dollars to have a professional check the set and provide you with an estimate. To me it sounds like maybe the vertical circuit has failed if you have colors across the center of the screen. Also there is probably a resistor and capacitor that need to be replaced on this one. Usually it is a repair that most shops will be able to handle for less than 1/2 the value of the unit which is the breakoff point for most people. I wouldn't suggest trying to self diagnose this one without test equipment. Good luck, Russmann..

HD 1080 Series (WD-55809) - Color convergence issue

I don't know of illustrated instructions but I can provide you with the service manual for your TV. It does have illustrations of disassembly and components as well as schematics. Your set very likely needs new convergence IC chips. This is a common problem with all projection TVs. The repair is not expensive ($60-75 in parts)  but does involve unsoldering and removing the old chips and soldering in new ones. Some times there are some fuses that need to be replaced as well. If you want the manual provide me with an email address.

Tv won't turn on

good day sir, problem with your tv's switching power supply, at this point you have a choice of visiting/calling your service center, or do it your own? If you want to do it your own, you may need you dissassemble your tvs back panel, to have access to the circuit, locate the switching power supply section and test the following.
  • the switching power transistor usually with a heatsink.
  • the oscillator circuit, with a pulse width modulator IC that controls the switching.
  • the high speed power transformer.
  • the feedback circuit.
  • the capacitor and voltage regulator.
test all of them until you get the bad part. I don't want to sound technical, but thats how service centers do it. You may need to get schematics.

I suggest you call your service center, and let them do it.

Mitsubishi ws-48613 no power

It seems problem of weak capacitors in power supply and deflection board.
If you have little experience of TV repair and good soldering skills, then check above said boards for weak capacitors.
You also need to have service manual of WS48613 which can be obtained from Manual Zone.
Service manual has schematics and technical information of TV to help in repair.

Blue Flickering Screen - Which Repair Kit?

yes they provide a free service manual with their kits. the symptom of the blue screen could either be the signal or the FMT as they can both cause those symptoms, My professional guess would be the signal board as the FMT will cause distortion lines across the screen with no picture.

Mitsubishi WS-65511

You need to replace the 100uf capacitors on the DM board. Its a relatively easy repair, However I would recomend getting the service manual so you can see how to get the DM out . I will post a link to the other sire I work at as a support tech. they have the manual for sale and they provide free tech support for anyone that buys the service manual which they email you and the support techs have illustrated examples on how to do the repair step by step that they can send you for support. heres the link in case you want to fix it yourself.
