Yes. Same exact problem ... DVD stopped working. Makes you wonder whether any of these units worked.
Agree with solution above ... buy a good DVD player (not magnavox) and hook it up externally. Works flawlessly.

I put a dvd in and it says it is loading and then it says no disc found even though it is in the dvd player. I have tried several different dvd's.

Unfortunately , Some DVD players cant read some DVD s and
then it gives either "loading" or " no disc"..reading on the display...

it generally happens when you want to play "A copied DVD/CD " taken from somewhere else..
Just to make sure that such DVD is ok ,you can try to run them on your laptop.If the disc itself has problem, laptop does not read either..
Since you h
ave not stated,if it is an old player pls Clean your DVD player's LASER lens anyway .. A clean DVD player Lens ensures that your DVD disc would be read properly. Unfortunately, your DVD player's Lens accumulate as much dust and lint as the other parts of the DVD player. There are many available DVD lens cleaner kits that you can purchase and use to clean your DVD player.

YOUR DVD disc itself should be clean and finger prints free as well....
Here are three suggested DVD Lens Cleaner that should do the job of cleaning your DVD Player's lens.

I put a DVD in my Digitec DVD player. it says Loading for about 2 minutes and then says no disc with all dvd's but it worked less then 24hours ago

try to open the case of your DVD player, insert the DVD disc and then see if the disc is spinning and loading, otherwise the optical DVD laser lens is weak.. you have to replace it.

After inserting a disc the dvd goes into the machine, the menue box on the tv screen changes to loading, stays on loading for a short time then pushes the dvd back out. The machine never changes to play.

the dvd player is unable to read the disc. either the disc is scratched and cannot be read or the player needs cleaning. cleaning discs are available pretty much anywhere. sometimes simply blowing into the area when the tray is open can temporarily fix the problem.

DVD player

Most DVD players that would display such a message even with a known good disc inside signifies that the that the laser eye/lens is not reading the disc. This could probably be attributed to:
1. dirty, damaged, inverted, blank, un-finalized burned CDs or DVDs;
2. defective, weak, dirty/dusty burned-out laser eye/lens;
3. defective slider shafting (where the laser eye's carriage moves) or some other components.

A few things you can try:
1. Use a CD cleaner (readily available from most computer shops);
2. use a can of compressed air and blow through the inside of the loaded disc area;
3. gently tap on the top cover where you estimate the reading/laser eye/lens would be;
4. gently press on the tray door once the disc is loaded.

Should this not be corrective, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional such as those in a Service Center. Alternately, your friendly neighborhood electronic shop should do just fine.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kindest regards.

Built-in DVD player

Are you trying to play DVD's you've made or copied yourself or new one's you buy from an actual distributor? Because sometimes self-ripped Cd's & DVD's won't play on a LOT of DVD players. Otherwise it's bad DVD player and you should go get it swapped out if it's not too late.

Try unplugging the set for 2 minutes first then try operations again. If that doesn't fix it maybe one of the buttons on the TV is stuck or the remote control is sending erratic commands.
