Scanning photos

-   I have the epson v100 and have had the same problems. I had the epson v1610 and got about 3000 scans out of it before it died. This scanner I only got less than 100 scans before having the same bars running down the scan. The problem did go away on its own for two weeks. Then started again. Spent hours with tech support. They are useless. Never buying an epson again. -   rzrnon 141

-   When scanning photos, I get stripes of color, red, yellow and green the length of the scan. These streaks are not on the original photos. The bed is clean. This scanner is less than a year old and has been used very little.
I am on XP Home.
I used an HP flatbed for over 5 years but had to purchase a new one because the HP was not compatible with XP. I chose this Epson flatbed scanner and at this point I am very disenchanted with this product!

-   Having the same issue. Strange streaks of color appear across the page. The bed itself is spotless and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and software numerous times. Spoke with Epson and they suggested I go to a service center for repairs. Hassle.-   JohnAA
