Change ip address

You cannot change the ip address, if you are using static ip address. If it is dynamic ip address, you can change it easily by resetting the modem or switching it off and can also use Proxy server or Hide ip address software to change the ip address.

To check the ip address before and after changing, Visit the site Here you can also search IP,domain host and it also includes city, country, global latitude & longitude coordinates etc.

Need driver and firmware for LinkSys RTP 300, or how to set it up for simple home network with interneton the PC and laptop as the 2nd computer.

No drivers are required since there is no actual installation to to the computer. Connect the ISP modem to to the main LAN network port. Then use any available port to access network. 1.Power 2.Main drop. 3.Network. That's it!

If the router is used, you may want to reset custom settings by, holding in the reset pin till it cycles.

Advance setup.

Hai, Good Afternoon, how can i configure Local network through ADSL router to Switch (d-link DE-816TP)

It's simple...
Reset it to the factory defaults; Connect an ethernet cable from the modem/router to the first LAN input (LAN1) in the D-Link device; Connect computers/any other device to any of the rest LAN inputs...

Done! :)

My network is slow while copying/transferring file over the LAN, we have Linksys Switch 224G4P and Linksys Switches 2024 which are stacked. Is this a problem

It is difficult to have havy network traffic and not show anything. The stacking should not be a factor, it is the actual file movement that is causing this, and there may not be a way around it. One possibility is to limit the bandwidth of the file transfer, but that just makes IT take longer....

It is difficult to repair around factual reality.

One static IP has internet. how on a LAN?

You need two network adopters in your system.
Connect Internet connection in first Network card and from the other network card give it to your Switch or hub
If you are using XP system you can use Internet connection sharing to share the internet in your LAN systems.
Follow the steps to enable using ICS

1.Enable Internet Connection sharing in the LAN properties in the first network card.
2.Now your second network card automatically get an IP address in the range of 192.168.*.* series
3.Connect other systems in the LAN and make sure the system has selected Optain IP atomatically from DHCP.

You are all set.

There is also an advanced way to setup this .
Install IPCOP firewall in a system with two network cards and u can share the internet with the firewall settings

There is a tcp and ip address required how can i set up a new lan connection

windows XP will usually automatically creat a lan connection for each Network card it detects, if it hasnt done this then the chances are you have not installed the drivers for the Network card.
