Same philosophy regardless of vehicle or equipment.
CAUTION! Battery contains acid which can also be present in general area. Take appropriate precautions.
1) Dis-connect Negative terminal.
2) Disconnect Positive terminal.
3) Remove battery hold down brackets
4) Remove battery from vehicle. Rinse hands to make sure no acid on them
5) Clean terminal connections (battery post clamps). I use a weak solution of baking soda in water and soak the clamps until the foaming stops, then rinse well with fresh water. It's a good idea to rinse the battery tray with the baking soda solution and then water before installing the new battery.
6) Place the new battery in the correct position in the vehicle.
7) Re-install the hold down brackets.
8) Connect the positive cable to the positive battery terminal.
9) Connect the negative cable to the Negative battery terminal.
10) Start engine to check.
11) All done, Make sure the hood is closed.
12) Nap time.

Can you turn the key ? ON - OFF Who changed the battery ? When you change a battery you need to use an external battery supply till new battery is in , so this doesn't happen ! You may need to have it towed to the dealer to have a module reset done ! Battery Disconnect or Replacement Problems

My 2002 s600 is not starting after I changed the dead battery

Which battery did you change? There are two batteries installed on your vehicle. There is a battery in the trunk on the right side which is called the systems battery which supplies power to the electronics of the vehicle and the second battery is under the hood near the bottom of the windshield. The battery under the hood is the starter battery. Check and/or replace that battery and let me know what happens.

How do you change the battery?

I think it takes a GM type GROUP 75 battery. If its like a Sebring? After you take the left wheel off and the splash shield, its easy.

How do i change my car battery without losing my radio.

You need to keep a supply to it. You can buy various devices that plug into your cigar lighter. The quite simply have one of these square 9 volt radio type batteries in them. This keeps power on while changing battery. You could easily make something up with one of these batteries and a couple of leads going to the terminals after loosening the bolts. Be careful though and make sure your wires are secure so the do not come off while wrestling with the battery.
